Do you have a favourite pen?

Clairy, 23 April, 2009 at 16:07 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

Admittedly I am a bit of a stationery fiend and can think of nothing better than perusing lovely new notebooks etc. However, I have always loved Berol Notewriters / handwriting pens or other fibre-tips. It is only recently that I have had the courage to believe that I can use them all the time rather than saving them for best ??

The jury's out on whether blue or black is better - black, probably, but my current one is blue.

Have you got a favourite pen?

The free ones that I steal from those annoying charity flyers ?

I like Berol felt-tips the bestest, though, and got a set for Christmas. They're nestled with my Hello Kitty pencils in my Snoopy mug, tee heeeee!!!

I don't have a proper, proper pen, but my favourite disposable pens are the Pental Stylo liquid fountain pens.

More often than not I use a pencil though.

Broad nib Mont Blanc is my proper pen, blue ink.

    Disposable - I use Uni-Ball Signo broad.

Oooh stationery porn, lovely! My favourite pens are the Stabilo ones that look almost like a pencil and are yellow and white stripy. I have to hide them from the kids! And anything from Paperchase is just lovely, I could spend hours, and hundreds of pounds in that shop!

I'm surprised people still use pens! ? I've got a random biro in my handbag for writing in my diary but other than that, I don't think I actually do much writing unless shopping lists count?

I have to be honest, if somebody bought me a pen as a gift, I'd think it a dreadful waste of money. But then I don't work and I guess if I did I might care more and appreciate the thought and having something really lovely to write with.

I keep a day book, otherwise I don't know where I am up to. It's not very neat, but I do write in it a lot. Other than that, very little actual writing.

Mine's a blue clickable biro that says Dorset Police Driver Awareness Scheme on it - classy, huh? I've never been to Dorset, I stole it from a friend and got oddly attached to it. I don't know what I'll do when it runs out.

Yes but its a fountain pen I got for my 15th birthday - I would be gutted if it broke/I lost it.

And I only ever use black ink in it.

Our school stationery cupboard got filled today. I've helped myself to 20 Berol felt tips, a couple of Berol handwriting pens, a new pack of blue tack, files in 4 different colours, a ruler, 2 rubbers with animals on, a pencil sharpener and pencils, and a full set of colouring pencils.

I also got first dibs on a huge selection of Huff n Puff/ PE equipment, but I won't list that as I think I may be the only member of that kleek.

(Just realised I made it sound like I've nicked stuff. I mean I've taken it and put it in my drawer for my use in school!)

I hope our school stationery comes soon - we're reduced to furtively handing over half-used propelling pencils in the corridor because there aren't any to be had anywhere in the department and we've all got tons of marking to do!

FtG I have that design from paperblank as an address book. It's gorgeous isn't it?

And as for paperchase - I too love that shop.

I love the way the Bic Atlantis disposable writes but will only use the black one ?:

Does anyone else find that their handwriting changes depending on the type of pen they use?
