My friends would take it upon themselves to stalk me on here and some of them would start making jokes about me being some kind of internet weirdie - ?

Like both of you, although if you asked him the name of this site I don;t think he'd know it.

I am always careful though just incase a friend (or enemy?) does lurk though as it's pretty obvious who I am IRL.

I havent told anyone, not even my bridesmaid..... people would snoop otherwise and I'd hate that. Funny how I can tell the majority of the UK my plans but the plans are actually secret to who it matters, lololol.

I don't keep it a secret! I met my OH through an internet forum so I guess using a wedding forum to plan my wedding is no surprise ...

OH knows as everytime he walks past he can see I am on here - does roll his eyes on occasion but as long as I am not shopping all the time I am on the net he isn't bothered. I don't think he would ever lurk - I hope not anyway!!!

H2b knows, and often takes the pi55 by calling me bluewater. i haven't told anyone else, but i alluded to it in an email to another friend who is a b2b, but didn't give any specifics. though saying that, it wouldn't be too hard to find me, especially as i belong to the 'we love hitched.co.uk' group, and am also tagged in a hitched meet photo!

i think my other friends would also make weirdy internet forum jokes, so i just keep it all to myself.

I don't think anyone not planning a wedding would understand...not my friends anyway. It's my little secret! Although H2B knows I'm addicted!

Another reason why I'm always a bit careful what I write.

I'm not that bothered by people finding out 'secret's because, well, they are only ruining it for themselves, aren't they! (Unless they tell others then I'll be cross!)

I honestly don't think people would try and stalk me! Though I'm quite careful about posting too much personal info. The other person who might have the time or the inclination is my best friend who knows everything about the wedding anyway.

I lurked on here a couple of years ago and eventually told my sis who I know lurks on BT now, think she knows that I now write on here occasionally but she doesn't know my username as far as I know.

We often find ourselves talking about stuff we have seen on here or read on here and others go o where did you hear that and we both always say someone we know or a friend of a friend.

My RL friends would prob think I was an internet weirdy too so I keep shtum!

I see it as a wee sanctuary where I can talk about weddingy things til my hearts content...

Im on here for my sis so no secret for me. I tell all the brides I know at work about hitched (if they are getting married that is ha ha) some of them go on the other forums so thats good!!

Yeah my H2B know I come on here and that's about it. H2b says that he is going to make a website called Ditched! This will be a place for all the H & H2B who get Ditched or Ditched by us as we are on Hitched so much ?

Mr delicious knows, and my flatmates know but apart from that no one else knows! dont want them stalking my planning!

My H2B knows i come on here and thinks i am sad because i am on here so often!! hes just jelous!!!! Other than that noone knows, if i am talking about it i just say 'some wedding website i go on'.

I dont really want people knowing my identity and snooping!

Ditched ?

Most of my friends and family, OH included, know I come on here but I never say the name! I just refer to it as "this wedding site I go on" because I'm a bit paranoid that if ever I want to have a rant about anyone, or ask advice that might involve others, someone might see and know it's me! I don't think any of my friends would do that but I do think SIL2B would have a snoop ? and would rather they didn't have the opportunity to do that so I can say pretty much what I like!

OH does make fun of me a bit though, in a light-hearted way. He does like it because it apparently 'keeps me occupied' when he wants to watch the football - cheek! But he always goes: "What are you doing, looking at strangers' wedding pictures again?!" He can't quite understand it, I suppose!

Also he said to me yesterday - "I bet even after we're married you're going to stay on that forum aren't you." and I said "well yes, there's an Off Topic forum, I can give tips to new B2Bs and also there's a Baby Talk forum!" That shut him up. ?

Ive only told OH and i think he secretly likes it as much as me, his always commenting on pics he sees

and once i told him i liked something id seen- think it was a dress and he was going "go on show me that picture then" about 5 times

Its not that I actively plan to tell people its just that since I joined most of my sentences start "well a girl on this wedding website that I use said/is having/wants....."

My H2B knows and tends to roll his eyes cos i'm on here so much, though it gives me something to do while he's on the stupid playstation all the time! My mum and my cousin (MOH) know i go on a "wedding planning website" but i don't think i've ever mentioned which one as i like to keep this to myself as my little wedding obsessed sanctuary!!

i am like you, my other half knows i use this site as im on so much, and have mentioned it to my family in passing when discussing ideas, and by backing up my ideas by saying, "well some on the brides on this forum website i am on have done this" etc! but no one else knows!! dont want people on here I know, as i want to discuss ideas openly etc and get others opinions
