Do you think there is a 'good' age to get married?

Reason I ask, is that I would of happily married my OH at 16. Would not have been a problem to me in the slightest. Looking back, I am glad I am doing it now (25 and much wiser and with the money to be able to afford it). But also so many of my friends and family are not getting married until they...

Reason I ask, is that I would of happily married my OH at 16. Would not have been a problem to me in the slightest.

Looking back, I am glad I am doing it now (25 and much wiser and with the money to be able to afford it).

But also so many of my friends and family are not getting married until they are in their 30's and some much later than that, or not at all (which seems to becoming more common than ever!)

Do you think there is a right age?

(I know the real answer to this question, is 'when your ready'... but I am looking for the alternative answers)

I'll be 23 when i get married, OH will be 31, we've been together for 6 years.

Someone i use to work with got married the day after her 18th Birthday and i was total against it, she was very immature and childish & i just thought when i was 18 i'd of never got married, She's just given birth the her 2nd child and they have been together 5 years, i know they had a lot of problems throughout the first year of their marriage as she had a few affairs but they stuck at it!

My parents got married at 18 but i think things have changed since then.

I honestly think everyone is different

I am 25 and OH is 30...on the day of the wedding he will be 31 and i will still be 25 (although I am 26 a week later!) sometimes i wonder if other people think I'm too young to get married, but i never do. and why wouldnt I marry him? Whats the point in waiting til i'm 30, I'm gona marry him whatever age we are, so why not do it now!? Its just so natural, he never even proposed, we just had a conversation which ended in, 'so are we gona do this then?' 'yes' and thats it!

I will be 26 when I get married next year and I feel 100% ready.

I was engaged to a previous partner when I was 20 - we had been together 3 years, bought a house and lived together but one day I just woke up and didnt feel the same anymore. It was really strange how it all happened. If we'd married it would have been such a big mistake - I just put it down to immaturity and not knowing what I wanted at the time, I feel much older and wiser now!!

No doubts at all this time, I know I've met my Mr Right xx

Ill be 3 weeks off my 21st when we marry.. oh is 23.. weve been together 6 years!.. we have good jobs, a lovely house and can more than afford it so I think its down the the couple not to their age..

My friends of my age are mostly dossing about or at uni.. i wouldnt see them getting married .. I do get annoyed when people say "oh your too young to get m arried.. enjoy your life"... go on holidays..

i dont see what they mean as my life wont change at all when we marry.. its not like you would go off and see other men, and we go away 3 times a year for god sake! :/

i sometimes wonder if they are just jealous that if they had the money and situation we are in at 21 and 23 they wouldve done it then too!
