Does anyone get a little overwhelmed sometimes?

BrogstarBride, 2 July, 2012 at 20:58 Posted on Planning 0 11

I have times when i think everything is all organised and im ahead of everything planning wise and then other times i have a panic super stress out moment when i think i should be doing something or organising something!

Also i seem to spend hours on google searching for wedding things, but i randomly i go from cake toppers to bridesmaid dresses and then honeymoons and onto gifts! I feel like im going round in circles lol.

Anyone have a "plan" lol

I feel overwhelmed at times too, mainly after I get asked about wedding plans in quick sucession by several people! Realistically I know I have plenty of time and I have the venue, registrar, photographer and videographer booked but it still makes me panic. I do like a list though to focus on, but sometimes random browsing on the internet is fun!

I've been doing that circle thing as well tonight. I've gone from presents to table decorations to hen weekend to card for invites!

I'm at a stage where I've got the major stuff booked and feel really good about how well everything is going - then I start thinking of all the little things and panic at how many little things there really are! Even before I had got my dress, I was waking up in a panic I didnt have any perfume ?

I cant wait til I get a start on the little stuff, like the creative parts ?

Not overwhelmed - planning has been pretty straightforward so far - except for the fact I get married in 18 days and haven't ever seen or tried on my dress... I designed it myself in conjunction with the designer (via phone) and dress shop owner, and it's been made just for me... but it hasn't arrived in the shop yet and I'm JUST starting to panic slightly tonight. Oddly calm up until now! As soon as I get chance tomorrow, I'll be calling the shop to get them to seriously chase designer... I'm away this weekend and so NEED to collect it early next week, or I really will panic.

I have ordered all of my tasks into priority and try to focus on one thing at a time. If I feel like I'm not getting anywhere with something though, I'll have a rest from it for a bit, look at something else and then come back to it with renewed enthusiasm.

But I am a bit OCD - lol!

I am COMPLETELY OCD!! I have been planning my (our) wedding since we had our daughter (in my head) but actually physically been planning since engagement in feb 2010!

I am not calm for very long and feel so stressed constantly with anxiety dreams etc etc!

I cant wait for the planning to be done so that I can just sit back and enjoy looking forward to our big day! I will be glad when it is all over (the planning that is!)...

I didn't realise how stressful wedding planning was, its such a relief to know I'm not the only one feeling this way, I think i am just too much of a control freak for it all!! x

Yes, definitely get overwhelmed! I had a spreadsheet of everything which needed doing and allocated months to do it in. So venue and tog first, then DJ, florist etc. Focus on one thing at a time.

I also did a big google search on everything but it gave peace of mind that I'd made the best decision I could.

Still getting overwhelmed now with three days to go so afraid it never really goes away!!

I am feeling this a lot at the moment. When we booked up we did so thinking that my FPIL were going to loan us £7k.It now seems that that isn't going to happen so am feeling in complete meltdown. Our venue is booked thanks to my lovely Daddy, but that is it! We have around £150-£200 'spare' each month at the moment but that isn't enough to pay for the bigger things that we need to be booking. We are terrible at saving as well, if the money isn't spent then it just goes!

I am tied between two very different wedding themes, and for me they hang on the dress (princessy or vintage). I feel it is way too early to go dress shopping yet as I have still got 2stone of 7 left to lose!

Overwhelmed does not even come close. At least my wedding cake is sorted, I am very lucky that my mum has a wedding cake shop Smiley laugh
