Does anyone go shooting/or have a partner that does? Gift inspiration needed please.

*Ducky*, 19 June, 2012 at 12:31 Posted on Planning 0 12

Our best man is a keen pigeon (I think clay) shooter.

OH would like to get him a gift related to his hobby, but naturally after 6 months of gift-research, still has no ideas.

Budget is max approx £60.

Any ideas?

Yellow tinted shades, outdoor kit of any type, or contact his club and see if they can help. Be aware most people who shoot are quite fussy about their kit.

Is it definitely just clay pigeons??

My OH and his best man enjoy their shooting but they shoot animals so we're getting BM a smart hunting knife and having it engraved!

Yes it is just clay pigeons. He said to shoot any real costs too much!?

I showed OH the exploding clay pigeon things and he thinks they are very cool. So I think we will get him those and a bottle of his favourite tipple. I wouldn't want to get him any kit as that is a bit personal (and expensive).

My friends hubby goes shooting and in the cooler months they make up champagne and sloe gin to take round with them, and all have these fancy flasks. Maybe one of those? Engraved.

Is it just me who thinks alcohol and shotguns are not a good combo?

We brought our Best Man a clay pigeon trap from eBay, think it was around £45.

Clearly I am missing a point here, but why would you need a trap for a clay pigeon. They are clay after all!? They don't run away.
