Does anyone use Spotify?

Old Nick Esq., 30 July, 2009 at 11:39 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

After a little furtling to get it to speak to Pulse, I have the client running in Wine.

It's..... Not bad, a bit like Youtube used to be, but without the videos. This week I've been popping in an artist name and playing their entire catalogue... Artist a day sort of thing,

Today is Morrissey day.

Its fabulous isn't it. I love listening to anything I want (old and new) and it was perfect for a house party as guests could just add their fave tunes to the playlist too.

I love it! I got it working on my school computer and when I'm feeling generous, I let kids come up and choose a song to listen to while they work. Loads of them come in the next day and tell me they put it on their computer at home!

Its fab. I like using it to listen to bands people have suggested to me, or if I've heard a song on the radio/tv - i see what else the band has done.

It's good for a trip down memory lane too!

No - all I get is "not available in your country" ?

    I use last.fm instead.

Bloody brilliant! I'd never even heard of it before, but now I have a shedload of Jamie Cullum lined up. Thank you!

It's perfect for parties - you can create a playlist of all the fab tunes you don't have and then for £1 you get it advert free for one day, hook the computer up to some decent speakers and voila!

It's also got an awful lot of good recordings of classical repertoire which I find very useful.
