Does your OH know...?

Oh no definately not, the whole thing is a surprise, we share absolutely everything but we decided to stick with tradition for our wedding and give eachother a lovely surprise ? We just feel it makes it all more exciting for us, we love our secret planning.

My OH has seen the bridesmaid dresses for our wedding but he has no idea what my dress is like. I am definately keeping my dress a well guarded secret from him although a friend of mine has pretty much showed her OH her dress. He already knew the colours for our wedding which is also the colour of the bridesmaid dresses so wasnt really a massive surprise anyway.

My dress will be a suprise but the style of my BM dresses will maybe give him an idea of what my dress is like?

I think if you're worried he might figure out what yours is like then don't tell him. Try and share your excitement with your BM's instead and that way it'll be a nice surprise for him on the day ?

My OH knows every detail of every bit, all except my dress (although he saw a not too disimilar one the other day and said he liked it and could tell from my happy face that its sort of similar!).

He claims he knows nothing of our wedding and will just be showing up on the day lol, but he does know everything!!

I don't think your OH would be able to work out what your dress will be like just from knowing the style of your BMs dresses, don't worry! Wedding dresses are so different and I don't think I've ever seen any similar BM dresses so it would be impossible to guess, IMO

My OH hasn't seen our BM dresses but he does not what they look like, what colour etc they are.

We are having a chocolate brown and dusky pink colour scheme, the BM dresses are chocolate and then I told him my dress is pink . . .its not it's white ? ?

Yes my h2b has seen our BM dresses as i needed to put them in his longer wardrobe lol. He has seen BM shoes but nothing of mine! He didnt pay much attention to them other than the colour which he would know anyway when he sees stationary and his cravat etc x

I mean... HE IS A MAN!! Haha. Mine has seen a photo of my dress but not on me, and he's forgotten what it looks like. It was a small photo and all he remembers is "white dress, straps". I'm not having the straps, but haven't told him. My BM dresses don't look like my dress... he's seen them. And anyway, like I said, he is a man... he doesn't care what the bridesmaids wear!

My OH is getting into this whole wedding planning so he knows just about everything EXCEPT for details about my dress, shoes, jewellery, Hair etc.

He's seen the BM dresses, didn't realise it was traditional not to show him?

He helped pick my jewellery a few months ago, hasn't seen it since and has long forgotten what it was like.

Almost slipped up a few times describing my dress, tiara and planned hairstyle to people whilst he was still in the room, oops!

He has seen photos of the bridesmaids dresses, and has seen my shoes, i also know a bit about what his suit will look like, but no way will he know anything about my dress, hair, or accessories! I'm so excited!

Heheh I have told mine my dress is pink...i think he now beleives me!

as long as he doesnt know mine thats fine! I had to show him the colour cos he wont let me go shopping for suits with him nad I want him to get the right colour!! lol x

I cant see how he would guess what your dress looks like, I know my OH has no clue when it comes to dresses so wouldnt even think about what my dress will look like. He will just wait for D day

I was the same! i didnt know so yes he has seen but the dresses give no indication of my dress whihc he has not seen

My OH has seen both the BM dresses and has seen my tiara, hair style etc etc. My dress is a complete secret, though he knows I won't go for anything massive (it's a very slinky fishtail). My mum and sis have both blurted the colour out in front of him but he claims that he didn't hear!

Still early days for me, but he knows everything so far other than what Im wearing and my accessories, hair etc

He knows all about the BM's outfits but nothing about my dress/shoes/veil/tiara etc. He keeps having little guesses but getting it really wrong. lol.

See with me il have to keep the colour of them from him.......he doesnt know ive even bought my dress but i have and its pink.........he knows id love a pink dress but ive kept it secret!

In passing ive said 'if i manage to find a pink dress, my BMs would have to wear the green or dark pink...otherwise they can wear light pink if my dtress is white etc.

Mine has seen a picture of my bridesmaid dresses but thats about it, and too be honest he probably cant remember what they look like anyway!! I thought it was just your dress he wasnt allowed to see not the bridesmaids as well!

Mr CB has seen our BM dresses - I thought it was a bit mean not to offer him a say when it was our money I was spending. I think he'd have gone with whatever I had suggested was appropriate but he did really like them.

It also meant I didn't feel too bad when I told him to make some room in his wardrobe for them!

We're not having bridesmaids, so it's not really an issue.

If we were, i'd let him see. Our colours are black and pink, and he knows i'd only wear a black dress, so it's obvious what colours our BMs would be wearing.

He'd be paying for them anyway, so only fair he gets to see, and quite possibly have an opinion on them.

My OH knows everything! He'll be coming dress shopping with me and my BMs for both my dress and BM outfits. I need his opinion - it's HIS wedding too.

Only got our FG dress so far and he's seen that as it's in our spare room, but I think I've shown him a pic of the dress we were looking at for my sister - I don't mind if he knows anyhow!

He has seen my shoes - he bought them for me! As for the dress, he doesn't want to know. Not because he isn't interested, he simply wants the surprise on the day. I won't be telling him how I am having my hair - haven't decided myself yet! Or showing him my jewellery either. As for bridesmaids, I don't have a problem him knowing what they will be wearing as he won't be able to gleem anything about my dress from what they are wearing anyway.

Other than my dress, I havent really kept anything a secret from him. There's things like my hair trial, my tiara, shoes etc that I havent shown him in the flesh but I think I've described them to him before and he's seen a picture of my shoes. He wont remember anything about them anyway.

He's seen pics of the BM dresses but probably wont actually see them as they are being made and wont be ready until very near the wedding.

I dont really understand keeping the BM dresses a secret - its his wedding too so surely he should have a say on the overall look on the wedding party (whether or not he does is another matter).

I don't even know what the BM dresses will look like - I'm letting my girls design their own through styleshake.com - they know the colour and fabric to choose and the rest is up to them, I know they'll all look fabulous so I'm not too worried about it. My OH knows the colours scheme for the wedding because he told me what it was going to be - we're having our 'wedding day' over here at Bradford City's ground so it has to be claret and amber - I'm leaning heavily towards the claret though!! (I say 'wedding day' because we're actually running off to Niagara Falls to get married in a helicopter, just the 2 of us, but have to have a full mock up over her for the families)

I'm looking forward to seeing my girls on the day and having a surprise - I'm planning, making, doing most things myself and really want some things to surprise me on the day, the bride rarely gets any nice surprises I think, just seeing everything you've already chosen in the same place lol
