Dominican Weddings - advice needed please!

Hi ?

My OH and I have decided we'd like a small wedding in the Dominican Republic.

Does anyone have any experience of planning one? Was everything as you expected when you got out there?

Any advice/tips would be fabulous! Oh, and any pics you'd like to share/recommendations etc?

Hello! Didn't want to r&r. Not got the experience myself, but my sister is a travel agent and has also been (to dom rep) a few times and absolutely loved it! Anyway, from speaking to her about wedding stuff (and getting ideas for my honeymoon) she has set up many weddings in different countries so perhaps your best place to start is you local travel agents - they can show you hotels that do wedding packages and give you guidence as to how long you need to be in the country before you can wed, as the saying goes every little counts!! I'm not sure about stand alone travel agents but the chain ones may have a wedding and honeymoon specialist!

Ooh i am going to the Dom Rep on holiday in January-I can't wait! If I find out anything about weddings there I will let you know ?
