Don't Tell the Bride

Becklarrr, 22 August, 2012 at 08:58 Posted on Planning 0 17

Anybody watch it last night? The girl was really nice, maybe too nice! I don't think she complained about one thing

I've never known anyone so calm. Like, nothing got to her but better still, she always looked on the good side of everything...and was totally supportive of her man.

Even though he did stick a bouncy castle on the dancefloor.

Both of us fell in love with her!

I know, for once they have a lovely bride and she gets the worst wedding lol. My bridesmaids would have murdered my OH if he picked those dresses.

I've never cringed at a first dance more than I did last night. I know dancing isn't some peoples thing but at least try to look like you like each other!

I'm with you on this one. They looked a lovely couple, and had a really cute son (especially when he went all shy over being complimented in his suit - so cute!) but I wouldnt be able to be in the same room as either of them. They'd just drive me insane.

I watched it last night with future hubby. Sorry, I'm sure they're in love and everything, but he threw my respect for him out the window when she said that she cleans and he thinks its his job just to sit around- oooh H2B would be out for that!!

I did feel sorry for her though, and she did look almost as though she'd just accepted things the way they were. She also seemed like she cared for him rather than she cared about him. More like a mother figure, pass, maybe that's just my opinion.

Sorry if I upset anyone with my views, just giving my penny's worth :-)

I missed the end! Being awake all night, I was watching the late night repeat and the blimmin signal went so I had no idea if she liked it or not.

Has anyone ever seen an episode where a bride point blank refused to wear the dress etc, or just not turned up???

The dress - oh yes often they do a phone call of having to change/exchange it! See the new york wedding!!

For not turned up - go for the Vegus Wedding its touch and go

I found them a bit annoying last night, they won me over but she didn't sound to excited about anything!! The hen do she seemed to enjoy herself but she said she hated it!!

I found them annoying, especially with the "he sits around and does nothing while I clean" stuff. He redeemed himself a bit towards the end when he was saying how much he's realised he needs her, but mostly he just seemed like a nob. Those bridesmaids dresses were effing horrible as well, I can't believe she liked them.

I thought he had potential to be a total idiot (i cant put the word i thought so i have gone for idiot) espe ially with the cleaning comment, but he did try and wasnt the 'lad' i expected him to be. As for the bride, i thought she was very sweet and nice to support her man even though it wasnt what she picked. This dont tell the bride was different to others because it was actually about the meaning of been married and not just about the material things that others cry if there not quiet right. but it was said at the begining it was all about her simply having the same surname so maybe the details wasnt important it was about the outcome and name change

    xx

The Ipswich one, she had a massive hissy and refused to wear the dress despite him having spent loads of money on it and alterations. She bought her own after IIRC

I'm sure I've seen one where the groom designed the dress and had it custom made and she refused to wear it...think it was an Irish or American episode?

I'm just about to watch an Irish DTTB, never watched one of these before!!! They only get 10,000 euros dont know if that ismore or less than the UK one! it's going to be interesting the Groom has just said "I don't like weddings....!!!"

Yeah she was really relaxed and very trusting even though he did seem abit thick.

The way he spoke annoyed me, he was so over the top about everything 'I've got to do it, I'm sorrry but i've got to it, it's got to be done'... Go on then mate- do it!! lol

BM dresses- hilarious, might send a piccy to mine see what they think ? x

I couldn't decide about him - One minute I thought he was an idiot (Who can't use the internet in this day and age, My 80 year old grandma can?) then he had a moment of insight then did something totally inane again. She obviously took after her mother ('pretend you like everything') and seems a sweet girl. I would struggle to have a conversation with her but can see she is all heart.

Was it just me or did the fact she is taller than him make it look like she is his mother? He kept putting his head on her shoulder like a child! Each to their own I guess. When I saw those bridesmaid dresses in the opening I thought they must have been a joke from the Groom...but no. I have to say DOTB was getting stale but this one has brightened it up.

Don't tell the bride was great yesterday (28.08.12). Stationers' Hall looked amazing. Great choice of venue!
