If you have tried the designer version then it is very likely that any replica will not be good enough.

The reason they will be cheaper is because the material will be different, the detailing will be different and most likely the construct of the dress will be less (the boning in a corset for example most likely won't be as rigid). They won't be able to make it identical anyway.

Have you tried to find a preloved one?

    WMrsCS.

Also look at sample sales in stockists where you live. Whereabouts are you in the country?

Ive just saved £1400 by buying a preloved dress.

    It's worth a look hun.

I know not everyone is keen on 2nd hand but as far as I'm concerned something as beautiful as my dress should have more than one trip out.

    Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking, how much is the dress? It's on my list of dresses to try on but I won't do it if it's too far out of budget

Hello! I'd really recommend Luxe Bridal in Birmingham for pre-loved, they do beautiful vintage and pre-loved dresses, I'm assuming Marilyn style is vintage?!

Here's ones we've shot with before: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=418446374868883&set=a.313573732022815.69472.129905497056307&type=3&theater and there's tons more designs at their boutique/online.

I'm not sure if they'll be cheaper but The Couture Company in Custard Factory in Birmingham make amazing bespoke dresses so could work to that design xx

I tried on some Augusta Jones dress at HoF in Oxford Street, London and the sales assistant offered me 20% off if I bought in a month...that would reduce it down? I loved the designs but they were above my budget too xx
