Dreams

Bridetobe13, 13 September, 2012 at 13:31 Posted on Planning 0 13

Was just wondering if its a omen or not dreaming about the wedding going wrong when I clearly know that i've got (almost) everything organised. Has anyone else had the above happen to them.

Don't seem to have any dreams about things going right with the wedding!!!

Don't worry about it. I had a dream that I had to stay in a tent on the night of my wedding and the dress was too big to fit in it. I also dreamt that one of my bridesmaids didn't turn up.

Neither of these things happened and it all went perfectly.

Dreams are something we can't control. We dream about things that we think about etc. I wouldn't take it too seriously. You are probably worried about something and that's manifested itself in your dream.

I regularly used to dream about my horrible school teacher being my mum. It wasn't true and never did come true (thank god).

Take it with a pinch of salt! x

I dreamed that my hair fell out, my makeup crumbled and dropped off, and as I began my walk up the aisle, I shat myself right up the back of my dress.

Thankfully none of these things happened

I had a dream last Friday night. A lot of my friends hadn't bothered to turn up and those that had were in jeans. I thought god the photos are going to look awful then realised we hadn't had any photos taken and I asked where the tog was & was informed my a guest (who was a rather yellow 'person' with big ears dressed in a suit so clearly OH's stuffed toy Rabbit from Winnie The Pooh!) that they had told her to go home because she wasn't needed! I burst into tears & actually woke up crying - OH asked what was wrong, I told him & he just laughed!

Awwww thats nice of him (not)!! Is it just me or do we worry more about the wedding and the preparation leading up to it than our fiances' do or is it equal?

    WTF happened to your font?!

Anyway, no. It would seem, generally, they don't care much about the detail and no matter how quickly time is passing, right up to a week before they will think there's plenty of time. My OH suggested a month before that perhaps we should see about booking a florist...even though he'd actually met the woman I'd booked 10 months earlier

Yes perfectly normal - I had dreams that I didn't have a dress, my dress had changed colour, nobody turned up, I forgot my makeup (which actually happened to our bride last weekend!!), etc etc!

Nope it's not only you ? I still have those dreams now sometimes, even though we've been married 6 years! Think it's with going to so many weddings still!

As I'm getting married on a Sunday, I go to bed every Saturday night thinking 'X weeks tomorrow!'... and I keep having an awful nights sleep on the Saturday night! It's always the same, I wake up about 6 times in the night, in an absolute panic that I've overslept and should be starting my makeup! Don't ask me why as I am having a 3pm wedding so it's not like it's going to be an early start! ha ha xx

I dreamt that I lost my dress, and had to get married in jeans, and that FPILs walked out and refused to watch as I said something to upset them (we get on really well irl) then my dad got stuck in a lift.

Actually looking forward to seeing what other weird and wacky dreams I have as its just a week left now (eeep)

    Smiley smile
