emmamac73, 5 March, 2011 at 20:06 Posted on Planning 0 23

So...I picked my dress a while ago but haven't been brave enough to flash yet! Here goes.....

Hope you like :-D

So now I also need some advice re jewellery and tiara...HIBs? Anyone? Here's the detail on the dress....

As you can see there is no diamonte sparkle but subtle/see-through/crystal detail?!

Any advice/suggestions welcome!

Thanks Hitchers!

Your dress is gorgeous and you look beautiful in it.

Afraid I can't offer a lot of advice but personally I always think a necklace with a drop/pendant looks best with a sweetheart neckline.

Gorgeous dress and I adore the sparkles. Does your dress have little flower shapes on it?

If yes I'd suggest this swarovski filigree necklace like this but the bead pattern and materials can be changed so it doesn't need to use pearls at all if you wanted it just crystals although I think a combination would be nice. If your dress is white then I'd use white pearls instead of ivory as shown below.

    a few more ideas

A Swarovski Crystal 'Y' shaped necklace Another 'Y' shape with crystals and pearls

    Some pendants

I have loads more ideas on my website www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk and facebook page http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=138437779505448&aid=28293#!/photos.php?id=138437779505448.

If you want to discuss anything further don't hesitate to email ******@**************.**.**.

    Hope that helps

The ebay tiara is nice. I bought a few tiaras before I started the business and the ones from ebay were generally really rigid and hurt me because the band was fixed in place with no flexibility so I found them extremely uncomfortable. That said at £6.99 it's certainly worth a try.

    Thanks Lynsey!

Yes my dress has a flower detail on it, although I didn't deliberately choose flowers so don't know if I want to highlight them IYNWIM?!!!

Really like your pendants....will have a look at your site.

Good point about the tiara hurting....I never thought of that....but yes, for £6.99 might be worth a go!

    Thank You!

Thanks. There is an album with pendants in it but you'd have so many options for a bespoke design as well http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=42056&id=138437779505448.

Thanks Starstruck, the pendants look nice.....so much to think about!!

I think/hope the tiara is all "crystal" no diamonte, my dress has no diamonte so I'm trying to avoid it.

    Like your crystal necklaces tho...

    Thank You!

That tiara is lovely and goes perfectly with your dress, worth getting it for that price and if its not comfy then back on Ebay it goes lol! I love the pearl pendant (from Starstruck) with the diamante on the top, so pretty x

    Hi Abi

Good point....the detail on the dress is quite subtle so hopefully shouldn't clash.

Fingers crossed for my bargain tiara, then I'll sort the necklace etc :-)

As Lisa has said, you have already been given lots of pieces to look at but I thought I would put my website in to the mix....www.kebojewellery.co.uk.

As already said, your dress is lovely and as it is a sweetheart neckline, it would look great with either a Y shaped necklace or a pendant. Here are a couple of ideas of some pendants:-

I think a single but fairly bold pendant would look great, so either something in crystal or pearl. My dress also has crystals on it ad I am having a Swarovski crystal pendant on a white gold necklace which I will then have made into a charm to put on my charm bracelet as a keepsake.

Another seller has this which may match http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DR012-Swarovski-Crystal-Wedding-Necklace-Earrings-Set-/320666326367?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa933d55f I would be very suprised if it was all genuine swarovski though but I think some manufacturers think its a generic term for rhinestones / diamante. This one does seem to be clear crystal with smaller diamante.
