    Hi,

Im 5ft and a size D bust. I tried on around 30 dresses and they all looked great. The A line dress really pulls in at the waist and no matter what height still looks beutiful, however the Fishtail dress was not right. I would suggest trying on as many dresses as possible.

I knew when i tried on the one it is a Maggie Sottero Scoop neckline finished with corset closure.

Good luck, its fabulous trying on the dresses Smiley smile x

I am a size 14, 34F cup and large hips so like you I am a curvy shape. I found the best dresses to be those which were fitted until after the hip but flared out after that, so not quite a fishtail but similar. I have the Sottero & Midgley dress called Edwina.

I'm 5ft2, size 12 with 34Fs so I'm also the hourglass shape. Although sadly I seem to have no bum!!!

I ruled out cinderalla style dresses pretty quickly as they looked ridiculous, in fact anything with volume at the bottom just didn't work. My dress is white rose r522, unfortunately the model pics are terrible, but essentially an assymetrical a-line (so the shop-lady told me!) but it is very fitted.

I did try on some fishtails and actually really liked them, I always plan on wearing a decent heel which I think helps.

I would definately second a style similar to the Sorreto & Midgley Edwina. I am the same as you, 30FF boobs, tiny waist, massive bum/hips/thighs - proper hourglass. Im 5 foot 4.5 and have gone for a fishtail as I just love them, plus I wanted something with straps that I would feel secure in. I'm also wearing heels. Dont rule out fishtails - at least try on a few. I was told by a shop to rule out button backs as due to my shape I would 'need a corset back', so avoided all button backs until the last shop where the lady made me try and one, and low and behold, its the one I went for (see below!).

But, if the fishtail is a bit too much definately something that is fitted to just below the hip (to really show off the hourglass) works a treat. I tried on a lovely Ellis one that was a smiliar shape, i'll see if I can remember which one! Found it, Ellis 11135!

    Hi,

Im 4 foot 11 with 32G bust and big bum! I was advised to go for an aline asymmetric dress with detail on the hip and dropped waist to draw the eye down. I was also advised to go for corset back to hold in my bust and enhance my waist. My dress is Mori Lee 1660 if that gives you any inspiration. I would stay away from the princess style, they did nothing for me and I felt like a little girl playing dress up. Hope that helps Smiley smile xx

These dresses are amazing!! Only thing i dont want is the beading....not because i dont like it but because it rubs on my arms and i know with in an hour i'll be sore!.

im also planning on having my hair up on the day, should i wear it up when shopping for the dress????
