Dress niggle... 13 days till DDay **flash**

.A.S., 22 June, 2014 at 18:36 Posted on Planning 0 14

So I had my fitting on Thursday. I was over the moon with the results and couldn't stop twirling. I don't twirl, but the dress made me. Now EVERYTIME I see the dress I love it more. Now, enter *crazy*. I CANNOT get a good picture of me in the dress on my phone. Every time I've taken tons and none do it justice. Now I'm hung up on the length... Is it too short? Am I mad? Should I STOP LOOKING. Sorry I can't rotate it x

You are being silly. It's lovely - the professional photographer WILL do it justice in the pics Smiley smile

I wouldn't have thought you could change the length, even if you wanted to. All you could do was change your heels for 1/2 an inch lower or something, if you really thought that was what you wanted. If you already bought fancy wedding shoes though, don't worry about it. It's fine.

It looks fantastic, and at that length it's going to be easier to walk in and stay cleaner than it would if it brushed the floor, without looking too short

    Looks perfect to me!

I've kind of got the opposite problem in that my dress feels like it's not been taken up quite enough, and when I try to walk in it i feel like I'm stepping all over the petticoats. I've ordered a hooped underskirt from ebay in an attempt to resolve the situation!

    It looks perfect on you!

I think the length is absolutely fine, and it won't get super dirty being dragged along the floor Smiley smile

You may feel that you cannot get a good pic of you in it, but your TOG sure will Smiley smile

I think the length is perfect. It will sweep across the floor bareky skimming the surface rather than acting like a very exensive broom. If the front drags the leading edge gets very grubby and you can't walk comfortably. You see so many brides sort of sweeipng the feet forward to push the dress out of the way - that's because it's too long. Yours is perfect and looks amazing. x

As usual I am astounded and amazed by hitched. Thanks everyone. I've had a weepy day, it was my last day so work, and sitting and reading all of these in the car park really cheered me up.

I can't believe I have a good luck thread. I also can't believe I can say "I am getting married next week"... Oh my days...

    xxx
