Dress opinion please

Is this nice? Am I too old for it? I'm planning on buying it as a 'yay, you lost 8lbs in June' reward. I really like it but it's pretty short, no?

Love it. And if you can't show off your legs in the summer, when can you? Buy it!

Well, I have to lose the lbs first (and I can get a smaller size then) but I think I will. Thanks all.

Well I don't hate it but I think it'd very much depend on the wearer, as I've never seen you I don't know. Helpful aren't I? ?

£50! I thought Vila stuff was usually cheaper than that. The front bit looks like they couldn't afford buttons ? Eye yam knot shore about it. I quite like it but I would prolly look like a sack of spuds in it. So don't give it to me as a present ?

Don't like it - sorry. Looks like something from the 1980s.

I don't think it's too short but it's not my cup of tea i'm afraid. The top half looks a bit odd

I've got a Vila dress, it was about £37 on offer. It should have been £45 so I guess £50 is about right.

I've had another look and I still like it - I think it'll make me look like Kate Hudson complete with tanned legs and wavy blonde hair - but I'll see how I feel at the end of the month.

I think the length issue pales into insignificance compared to potential tightness across stomach and hips issue. but i am a chubster. ? if you are slender or have a more athletic figure it could look good.

not sure on the shade of blue though...last time i saw someone wearing this colour was on sunday, and she had her hand up my chuff ?

    ? at Kieran.

Connie Huq (sp?) had a denim dress on on the record breakers programme sunday night, hers was fitted to the bust and had a ra-ra type frill over a tighter skirt though IYSWIM.

Btw Chooks, did you get your flat sandals for that maxi dress? Flat roman sandals or wedges would be nice with that dress. I couldn't wear flats with it, I have cankles ?

ok, they took half the skin off my ankle bones but they looked cool ?

i just showed the dress to mr c, with the disclaimer it wasn't for me and he could be honest. ? and he said the same as me...looks tight on the tummy. even on the model.

my husband is a right girl ?

He was, I started to laugh and then saw he was covered in goosebumps, so got him out of there (it was one of those enclosures where you're in with the animals). I did thanks ? Tired now though, was so flipping hot - I'm hoping for a storm.

Just a leetle storm to clear the air a bit?

Trouble is, when you're as pasty as me, the sun isn't fun. I feel like the giant marshmallow woman amongst all the tanned people wandering around.

I'm pale too. I stay out of it really but it makes me slightly happier than normal. You are not a giant marshmallow dude ? maybe an iced gem.

I'm off to bed now. Cold has resurfaced and I'm feeling a bit rough. x
