    Hi Louise!

first of all - Boob envy!?

secondly - I haven't had a great deal experience dress shopping as having mine made - but did go to several shops to try different styles - others may be more helpful on this. However - I can't imagine they won't stock a collection of different sizes - after all, how many real life brides are a perfect 10?

I experienced this same fear myself when I went for my first dress veiwing on Monday and come away with a lovely dress. Im a 16-18 with an G bust and I didnt fit into any of the dresses, but it really doesnt matter. Most dresses can be made to fit you with altering and its amazing how they hold and squeeze you in!

Cant say it was the most enjoyable experience of my life but just go with an open mind and think about what looks good on you not anyone else!

Let us know how you get on!

Like others have said - maybe call a few shops first, as although everyone here has been satisfied and (IMO) all shops should stock all sizes, I have heard horrible stories about larger girls being disappointed with their shopping experience. As well as some good shops who have a good range, there are plus size shops who only stock the larger sizes. Where in the country are you? Some of us may be able to point you in the direction of a good shop. Also have you made any appointments? A lot of bridal shops get busy on Saturdays and appointments can be advised.

    Hi Louise

I'm a little bit apprehensive myself as I'm going to start shopping soon. I've put on nearly 3 stone since I met OH and have gone from a size 10-12 to a size 14-16, I'm trying to lose it but it's not coming off very quickly (I need to exercise more!!) and I also have a large bust - admittedly not quite as large as yours as I'm a 36E but still quite ample! ?

Although I think they should stock every size I agree with some of the others, it might be easier just to call beforehand to see what sizes they do stock as that will be much better than going all the way there and being made to feel awful if they only have smaller sizes.

It's not a nice feeling though is it, being worried about it? It should be the most exciting part of the planning process really, and all I can think about is being made to feel like a big whale! ?

So you are honestly not alone, I know how you feel ?

Hi, you don't say what size you are but when I have been shopping all the dresses i have tried on have been about a 16 if that helps. I'm a 30 ff and sometimes just have to use your imagination with how the dresses would fit if they were in your size. Also I have seen quite a few dress shops that only stock larger sizes so you would be totally confident they would have the dresses in your size. Good luck and enjoy xxx

    HI

I am a size 18-20 with 36G jugs. I called the dress shop beforehand to 'warn' them and they simply stated that it doesn't matter what size you are becuase even if the dresses are size 12, panels can be put in the back and laced up so that it looks as though the dress fits you. Please don't worry, they want your business so they should try to make it as peasurable as possible. I had the same worries as you and believe me, these ladies have seen it all and dealt with it all, so just try to enjoy it!

You should go and see Cariad, she used to be a hitcher and has some amazing dresses. She's incredibly helpful and knowledgable.

I am a large girl, currently 22 - 24 in clothes. With a bust of 40f/40g. I was scared as you said of shops with not a large range of sizes. The 2nd dress shop I went in had plus sizes, then I found my dream dress in a size 20. We tried different ways to ensure that my bust did not look as it was going up and north. In the end it was stand up straight and flatten the buggers!

Some pictures to show you there is dresses out there and your bust won't look big. These shops know what they are doing.

If you are anywhere near Newport then I read in a magazine that All About Eve have just launched a new plus size range.
