LauraC2B*2013, 20 July, 2012 at 21:05 Posted on Planning 0 9

So I have an appointment at 10am tomorrow and just cant get excited about it. Instead I feel fat and frumpy and want to hide under my duvet all day, any suggestions?

Wear big knickers!! (you spend a lot of time in your underwear in front of shop assistants)

I'm sure that you'll have a great time- enjoy yourself!!

Lol thanks claire, i went dress shopping a few weeks ago and found what I thought was "the" dress until I saw the price tag (2800) at which point it promptly stopped being "the" dress to what the hell is this dress made of pure gold??

So now slightly worried I won't find another one

Blimey- you clearly have very good taste. Good for you for not blowing the budget. I'm sure "the other one" is out there just waitng for you (with a less alarming price tag!!!) Good luck!

Try and do some research on designers whose dresses you like and are reasonable before you go dress shopping. I saw a few I really liked in mags and online, so I phoned the shops who were stockist of those designers before going to try to ask whether they had particular dresses and how much they were. Once I'd checked they were within budget I booked an appointment with that shop and ended up buying a different one within that range lol!

P.S. Wedding dresses are so flattering, you'll feel lovely when you try them on. I was at my fattest when I went and still felt lovely...

YAY glad you had a good time and found 'the' dress!! Did you know as soon as you put it on? I can't wait to start dress shopping in Dec (but really got to lose some weight first!)

Yes as soon as I put it on,was the only one out of about 20 dresses were I actually swooshed and didn't want to take it off.

I was going to wait to lose weight before I went looking but was too impatient, going to give it 2 months before I order it so will be down the gym until then!
