Dress Wobbles

*Bea*, 23 January, 2011 at 21:19 Posted on Planning 0 21

I chose my dress a few months ago but i have been having wobbles ever since. I thought it was "the one" had tears and everything but each time i think about it i focus on bad points. Not all lost as havent placed the final order yet so i am going to go and try some more but im annoyed as i thought it was the one and all sorted but now i am back to square one ☹️

Maybe you should go and try your dress on again? There must be something about it that brought tears to your eyes the first time you tried it on? Maybe as you have seen others its making you 'wobble'?

Go try it on again and see how you feel??

I think i was just in love with the dress and when i tried it on and it fit me ( was two sizes smaller but still fitted ) i got a bit carried away with the emotion of it rather than the dress. It is quite plain and i keep thinking about that. Also the bodice is short which i feel looking back on it makes me look dumpy.

Thanks, I think your right , I am going to go back and try it on and maybe try some more on at the same time. To check if i still feel the same about it.

I think it is gorgeous! I luuurve the bow at the back! I like that it isn't covered in sequins and crystals. It isn't 'plain' though, it's really elegant!

Speaking of dress wobbles I've made the mistake of discovering Sassi Holford's website. Not so much a wobble as an earthquake!!!! GULP

I have to agree with the other B2B's....I love the dress. I think it looks gorgeous!

I kinda know what you are feeling, i ordered my dress in October and it takes 6 months to make. I have only tried it on once and that was in a size which was 3 sizes too big for me. All I have is the magazine advert for the designer and I keep looking at others that are completely different style and worry if it is 'the one'. I have to keep thinking of how it made me feel when i tried it on and why i liked it.

I agree with the other ladies, If you can go back i think that will help Smiley smile

I think your dress looks gorgeous, and as others have already said, just because it doesn't have crystals etc doesn't make it plain. The important thing is that you feel happy with it, and I think the only way you're going to know if you are is by going to try it on again. It may well be that as soon as you try it on you'll remember why you loved it in the first place - I don't think seeing pictures of it on the model is the same thing, as it's easy to forget how it looked on you.

If you try it again and remmebr why you love it, it's problem solved. If you don't love it as much; I know it will be frustrating to be back to square one, but it's better that you find that out now while you still have the time to find another dress that you do love than finding out on your wedding day when it's too late to change it.

Let us know how you get on.

I think it's a perfect dress for a romantic church wedding. I've tried on a few dresses now and there's only one that made me properly smile. I've had wobbles as well, but I know deepdown that it's the dress that I'm comparing everything else to and nothing measures up

Flippin' heck!! That's a stunner!! Is that a big bow on the back? I love it!! I don't think it matters if it's not sparkly, some dresses just don't need it! Plus it means you can have nice statement jewellery and a tiara!

I would definitely try it on again before you look for others, you need to remember why you fell in love with it before you decide you don't want it anymore.

Fabulous dress. Absolutely love the bow on the back - amazing!

I'm going to be buying my Justin Alexander soon too - I'm getting the tea-length 8465 in coffee - but if I was going full length that would definitely be a contender!

Your dress gives ME wobbles!!! I love it!

Sparkles can be added with jewellery but I really don't think it needs it... AMAZING!

I really like your dress! Personally speaking, I am not a fan of beading on dresses. Looks classy!
