Dresses from China... ethical?

Everything is made in china etc these days so will be no different to what you buy on the high street i would imagine.

They are copies so technically speaking they are unethical in that they are ripping off the designer who has designed them, much like a pirate dvd/cd. Most of them are nowhere near the quality of the original dresses either.

I've seen a beautiful Benjamin Roberts dress on the 'figure flattering dresses' link on the Hitched homepage. Obviously won't be cheap. However when I was looking on eBay at wedding dresses, the exact picture of the Benjamin Roberts dress came up but with a £45 price, "import from China". Definitely an imitation. So I would be careful.

Which company did you go with in the end as I have 6 BM's dresses to buy and was thinking of doing the same thinkg but am also worried about the quality. This is not a 1st marriage for either of us so have to stick within our budges but still want the proper wedding look.

My dress is from China via eBay. It is very high quality and I absolutely love it! It does need some alteration but only cost £100 so even after paying for this only looking at £250 for my dream dress - a very similar one I tried on in a bridal shop was £1700! The seller name on ebay was best-love-u
