Dresses on a tight budget - in Great Barr, B'ham area any ideas

Have you looked in Monsoon? Mine is from there and was only £200.

They have lots of nice styles, although if you're wanting the more traditional dress, then maybe its not for you.

There are lots of pre-loved sites.

I second Monsoon also Debenhams and phase eight. Might be worth checking out some where like pre loved as well (as they do second hand dresses)

Hi Emma, you're not far from me! I'm just a couple of miles down the road. I got a bargain dress from a warehouse sale in Tamworth (Francesca Bridal)- it's a Mori Lee and was reduced from £900 to £350. They have the sales a few times a year, it's really easy to get to (not sure if you know Tamworth at all?) and they normally place an ad in the Sutton Observer near the time too. I'll see if I can dig out the wed address for you.

I'm not sure if this will help but i have heard that there is a wedding dress sale on at travel lodge in manchester on saturday the 15th of august, and by the sounds of it, the dresses are brand new and will be selling at pretty great prices. hope this helps.

Theres a shop in Westfield shopping centre in derby that sells wedding dresses for only about £250, they are proper big wedding dresses too not like the ones in monsoon.

Hi Emma, Im from good old Birmingham too. there are a few lovely little shops is Cotteridge if you could get to there. My friends daughter got an ex-display one for 250. Perfect condition and it had been prefessionally cleaned so who cares if other people had tried it on if it saves u a small fortune?? Good luck xx

Most bridal shops sell of their samples for a bargain price so it is definitely worth looking in 'proper' bridal shops. Be honest with them about your budget and you will be surprised at what £300 will get you.
