Dresses worn with Bras/corset/bustier etc

Steelgoddess, 30 March, 2010 at 08:56 Posted on Planning 0 8

Is anyone wearing any of the above with their dress and can you flash a piccie? i need to find something to lift and create clevage (nice not Dolly parton) But imm unsure what to have...

Was thinking maybe the strapless wonderbra but unsure what will give me maximum support and clevage, also do the bras need to be a wee bit lower so it isnt seen over the dress?

If you're wearing anything under your dress would you mind flashing and saying what you're wearing, sorry im not being pervy to look at ur chests this is urely research purposes!

Can't flash as I dont have a pic of the two together and also have the opposite problem of not wanting to look too booby!! (I'm a 34F/FF) I'm wearing a basque under mine, it does need to come lower than your dress, mine comes quite close in places but hopefully once it's all adjusted should be well hidden!!lol You need to be a bit wary of basques/corsets etc especially if your dress has a lot of boning in it. I only have slight boning in both so it's not a problem but I can see that it could potentially be really uncomfortable.

You need to wear something you will be comfortable in and not 'readjusting' yourself all day (sorry I have no idea how to word that better!!)

Don't have a pic of the two together but I'm wearing this bra You could just see it above my dress, but the girl in the shop says she can do something about that - sew a tag or something - not sure really, I didn't listen!

I've got the same problem only I need something to keep me in and up! I've been told about dressmakers sewing in a bra button to the dress so it doesn't show - although I have absolutely no idea what it is.

I would def say try a basque alhough I had to get mine off the internet (try ebay, they don't have many so you might have to keep checking back thought) as most shops just dont go up to that size. Also, if you have a big asda near you there basques go up to a g cup so might be worth a look (cheap and cheerful just to give it a go under your dress lol)

    Hi Steelgoddess,

I am ample chested!!! normally a 36 FF or G but I have got the wonderbra strapless thing....the one that says feels like your holding yourself up and i have to say its bloody amazing!!!!

The Lady in the shop fitted me in it. When i had tried it b4 i was disappointed but you sort of need to pull the outside of your bust up and round a bt to get the best fit!

    does this make sense?

Showed my OH...you can imagine a mans reaction!
