KLM, 14 July, 2008 at 13:37 Posted on Planning 0 12

Are you going to be having a glass of Alchol on the morning of your wedding?

I personally feel i will feel too sick with nerves (and yes this should steady them) but it could also make me throw up..... my mum keeps saying she is getting some Champagne for the morning i have told her all I want is black coffee and a bacon butty or crossiant...... am i strange (pplease dont say its my day etc)

I didnt have a drink at all...alcohol or non but my Mom did bring a bottle of champagne and we were all going to have a glass but we were so busy that we forgot so H and I drank it last week!

If you dont want to drink then dont. No point forcing it down!

CBM is talking about buying champagne but I can't stand champagne anyway and very rarely drink at all (I still have a bottle of wine from christmas!) so I won't be - i'd rather have tea and biscuits!! I'm sure H2B will have a tot of whisky but hopefully not more than one as he is a complete light weight!!

I'm not - I went to a wedding recently where the bride had been drinking since 9am and was drunk in the ceremony. That was enough to put me off.

One glass of champagne would be nice though.

I think I'll have 1 glass of something just as a toast and to make it a girly morning. But definitely no more than 1!! Not spending all that money to be drunk before I even get to the church.

I plan on having some bucks fizz or something which i think i'm going to take to the hair dressers with me, and share with the girls there anyway as a bit of a thank you for opening up early for us. I might also take some choccies or something too.

I don't plan on drinking much though throughout the day, i want to be able to remember every minute of it, and h2b said he won't be drinking much either.

I dont think I will be, its a good idea, but I think it would make me throw up. I think I'm going to be so close to it with nerves anyway, dont want anything to encourage it.

I have bought myslef a tub of Rescue Remedy pastilles - that should be enough to calm my nerves.

I like the idea of having a drink on the morning but dont want it to go straight to my head and end up feeling tipsy

I didn't. It was the last thing on my mind to be honest.

I didn't. My mum bought in a bottle and her and the BMs has some and she tried and tried to get me to have some. "No thanks mum" soon turned into "No!". I was feeling pretty calm and good in the morning so I didn't want to risk it as I'm not a drinker anyway. I had a glass of Bucks Fizz and a few sips of champage for the toasts but that was it all day. I stuck to water!

Absolutely! We'll have bubbly at the hairdressers with snacks and then probably some more with snacks while I get ready a home!

    Bring on the Veuve!
