DS game recs - Hotel Dusk/Prof Layton type games

CountDuckula, 12 December, 2008 at 14:05 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I neeeeeeeeeeed a new game. I've completed Professor Layton and can't imagine anything else being as good as that. I loved Hotel Dusk, thought Phoenix Wright was so-so, a bit long winded. What else is there in a similar vein?

From previous posts I think we like the same sort of games so I'm adding Hotel Dusk to my Christmas list as that sounds fab. Thanks.

I'm waiting for a load of new games for Christmas (including Prof L ATCV) and I am desperate for a new game to play. My brother just lent 'Wario Master of Disguise' to me and it was surprisingly good and quite addictive. Would something like that tide you over for a bit?

Well there are two more professor laytons coming out - but I don't know when, not for a while I wouldn't have thought. Other than that I can't help, but am also interested...

I've just had a look at that Wario one and I'm undecided although it's only £9.50 on Play.com so might be worth a go, thanks.

Prof Layton was brilliant, far and away the best game I've ever played. I'm tempted to bin my DS now as I don't think anything else will be anywhere near as good ?

I know what you mean. When my brother gave it to me I complained and asked 'didn't he have any good games' but it's a lot better than it sounds. For less than a tenner I think it's worth it.

    ?

Actually I'll let you into a naughty little secret. My brother (he's good at all these technical things) got me one of these (an M3 DS Real) for my burfday http://www.m3adapter.com/Products.htm and loaded some games onto it for me. I was a bit sceptical when he told me about it but he loaded various Mario, Tetris, Nintendogs (it's crap, I'm glad I didn't pay for it), Sims games and they all work perfectly. He's coming over at the weekend to show how to download more games to it.

Gah, I've just set the alarm bells off in IT by clicking on that. A big fat ACCESS DENIED. Sounds far to technical for me anyway ?

Oops sorry. It's nothing dodgy I promise. It's just a DS game cartridge that you can download home-made games and free stuff for your ds. It just happens that a lot of 'official' DS games are available for download too.

Now I know why God invented brothers.

Why's my font changed? that's so odd.
