    ? Ladies!

Well Done on all your weight lose so far...keep up the good work! ?

A little update on me, although I wasn't able to the Dukan diet due to me breastfeeding. I have been eating more healthier, drinking more fluids and I even joined the gym and had my first work out today now that I've had my six week check post birth.

So far, I've lost 7lb! Although I do think that is mainly due to stress, breastfeeding and the fact that I have so much baby weight to lose. ?

Well done everyone on the weight lost......

I've lost 6lbs too, can't believe it, didn't do dukan at the weekend, xmas party on saturday and takeaway last night, but was more aware of what i ate and avoided the heavy fatty stuff

Back on it today, just for 3/4 days i think, as last time i got bad tummy cramps after day 3 and really craved sprouts which can't be good. lol

Book haven't arrived here yet either

I'm the same on day 4 i thought it can't be that healthy to be in that much pain, had roast lamb, which i'd cooked on a rack to try and lesson fat, sprouts and sweetcorn, no pain at all the next day,

I've been off it three days and no weight gain either, and i've been drinking wine over the weekend

well done to your hubby, what will power, my hubby is determined to start again in Jan

I think in January i might only do the attack for 3 days, i hate having stomach ache

It was day 5 for me when the stomach cramps started. I felt like I needed to be sick. It went eventually, but I caved the next day! Remarkably, I haven't put it back on either. I have been eating carbs and drinking wine. I haven't gone overboard, but I haven't exactly been good either! I'm off it now for Xmas as there is just too much that I want to eat!

I think this has been a pretty good start for everyone.

Me and H are starting tomorrow. H isnt convinced about it so is giving it a months trial ?

I can see H is going to have problems with bread and pasta as theyre 2 of his favorite foods.

For anyone thats craving a takeaway, will pizza do the trick?

Ok, we didnt start saturday as planned. me and H have started today.

    Breakfast was pancake

Followed by chicken curry for lunch with meatballs for tea followed by cake for pudding

In between, ive been snacking on ham and even sent H off to work this morning with a packet of ham. I've even converted him to have sweetner in his coffees.

i'm currently chef in our house so H is doing the diet if i do the cooking....

so far, so good. i'm having cravings for chocolate and crap still, but i guess they will fade with time?

I am back on the diet again today. I lost 4 lbs before Xmas but have put that back on plus 2 more! ☹️

It is cold and dark, and I am depressed to be back at work. I can see myself hitting the massive stock of chocolate that is waiting at home before the day is out!!

Hello ladies, I'm joining you too - just coming to the end of day 1. I'm not a big meat eater so think I may struggle and already missing fruit and veg, but keen to give it a go. Breakfast was a yoghurt with oatbran, then a tin of tuna and two hard boiled eggs for lunch. For dinner we had chicken wrapped in ham and stuffed with very low fat cream cheese plus some cottage cheese on the side with more yoghurt for pudding. I was pretty hungry mid afternoon but think I just need to take more snack bits to work with me. Got a day meeting out the office tomorrow with no fridge so not too sure yet what I'll manage for lunch... Found the water part easy though - probably mainly because I was hungry as hasn't eaten enough breakfast!! Just need to keep going now...

The cake was pretty easy, but didnt really taste that nice.

    4 eggs (seperated)

    about 50g of sweetner

    zest of 1 lemon

    40g of cornflour

whisk up the egg whites to stiff peaks. in a seperate bowl, mix together the egg yolks, sweetner, lemon zest and cornflour. fold the mixture carefully into the egg whites. put the mixture into a baking tin then in the oven on gas mark 6 for about 20 or until golden brown.

a small tip on this, if you have lining paper for the baking trays, they will come in very useful.

It didnt come out how i expected (wanted) it to, but it cured my sweet tooth (for the moment.

I'm still nibbling on ham and will probably be spending a fortune on it!!! I'm also hooked on herbal teas. i weighed myself this morning and........................... ive lost 2lbs!!! YAY!!

Day 2 for me and h2b. I had two yogurts for breakfast, some cottage cheese and two hard boiled eggs for lunch (bit random but did the job!) and snack of dukan chocolate porridge (thanks for that recipe, great tip) and then a salmon fillet with herbs and spices on the top plus two small smoked mackerel fillets. Had some vanilla yoghurt for pudding but must admit I am now craving sweets or chocolate! Keeping going though, hope to make four days on the active phase but will see as really missing fruit and veg...

Me and H are on day 3 today. I had a loss of 2lbs again this morning on the scales. Still hooked on herbal teas.

Need some ideas for meals as me and H are getting a bit fed up of similar things day after day. We dont eat fish. Any tips would be helpful

Well, I've lost 2lbs this week ?, but not by following Dukan ? I was finding it very tough to stick to, so I have just been sensible this week instead. If you can stick to the diet, then it is great for rapid weight loss, but I have found it too restrictive. Feeling much happier eating sensibly, and enjoying the occasional treat (usually a glass of wine)!

me too, i tried so hard on day one to stick to it, and other than a small gin and tonic i managed it, day 2, seriously bad day so had a bottle of wine and some chips with my chicken, day 3, i just decided to give it up til monday. We're out with friends for a couple of meals at the weekend anyway, determined to start again monday, but think i'm going to go straight to the cruise phase, i think i need the veg to stop me getting bored with it.

I'm on day 5 now and finding it quite boring at the moment. I'm going to give it a few more days before the cruise. From looking through this thread, it seems i have quite a bit more weight to lose than most of you. For that reason, i'm giving it a few more days. I've lost 8lbs so far and gone down to the next stone!!! ????? I'm finding im not really craving anything - not even chocolate. which is wierd. I must just be really focused ?

H has given in, but says he is still going to eat healthily. It was someone Birthday at work today so they brough 'goodies' in and i didnt even want anything.

I'm going to re-read the book and the cruise phase as i didnt realise i had to alternate the veg & proteins patterns.

As a long term result, I will be happy to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of about 12st 7lbs.

    Hi everybody!

I've just signed up to this site and of course went straight to the diet section! I'm getting married in less than 12 weeks - we brought the wedding forward in a fit of impatience and its just hit me the amount that needs to be done - least of all the 14lb min i want to shed!!. I have read many good reports about this diet but lots of people mention the boredom of not being able to have veggies with meat or fruit for a snack. I did the south beach diet and found it great. nothing happened for about 5 days then the weight fell off. I had stopped smoking and gained over 28lbs which I lost in about 7 months. Then meet my soon to be husband and of course a stone creep back on. I am going to start this diet on Monday - should have been Monday past but still too many goodies from Christmas floating around the house- so I've demolished all the shortbread, eaten the green triangles from the quality street tin and disposed off the slightly soft jacobs crackers with about 5 ton of ceese selection. Just a half bottle of baileys and the house will be Dukan friendly - if I manage to ignore the dodgy looking pack of pecan nuts!!!

Hello again! Wow Cosmo you are doing brilliantly. And Cjlisburn - welcome and good luck with the diet! I've been going for four days now (today is the 5th). My scales are rubbish so not sure how weightless is going but I definitely seem to have lots a few pounds. I was doing really well til last night where we had a party to go to. I drove so couldn't drink but the meal was curry or chilli. I had the chicken curry but the sauce was quite thin so I only had a little of that and hope it wasn't too horrendously fattening an then filled up on the chicken - did have a couple of mouthfuls of rice too though! Feel good with the diet now but on day 3 I had terrible nausea and headaches. Not 100% sure if diet related but assuming it probably was. Aim to do another day of attack but meant to be doing quite a bit of exercise today so if I do I might bend it a little...

Well done Debbie! 5.5lbs is great!

Day 9 today for me. I started the cruise stage yesterday and i'm alternating 1 day protein, 1 day protein + veggies. I'm quite enjoying this diet to be totally honest. Which is quite surprising given the amount of restrictions. Must be my carnivorous (sp?) side coming out. lol.

Breakfast consists of pancakes. I dont make them like the reciepe earlier in the thread. Cant remember who posted it, but that one uses fromage frais and they stuck to the pan if i remember correctly. I use yoghurt and a splash of milk instead and find that they dont stick as much. Snacks are yoghurts and packet hams or a cooked chicken. Asda have them on offer at the moment - 2 for £7. I made a veg soup yesterday for every other day which is yummy. Ive tried making cakes, but they dont taste very nice to be honest. All this cooking and experimenting has definately brought out my chef side.

I didnt really have any 'side effects' to be honest. But then again, I was constantly eating throughout the day. The best thing for a 'sugar fix', i would recommend some coke zero or pepsi max. Just one glass seemed to help me.

Anyway, im starting to waffle on a bit now. 9 day on the diet and i have lost 10lbs so far. I cant feel it in my clothes yet, but hopefully that will come soon.

    Cosmo,

Do you have the dukan recipe book?

I got it this time as I only had the start up book when I did it last year but that did not have any recipes in it. Thoroughly rec the recipe book (I got mine off greed-bay) there are some yummy meals in there.

A section for your protein only & then another section for your protein & veg.

There are even dessert recipes in there but I would not recommend the chocolate cake dessert, it tastes bloody awful.

I make a batch of oatbran muffins every few days & add almond extract to them, they are lush
