*E* b a y BM dresses - any recs please?

Ruby, 23 February, 2009 at 20:43 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi planners

I'm an old married BTer now but am looking for SIL.

Has anyone got any recommendations for the cheaper made to measure (often from china) sellers of bridesmaid and flowergirl dresses?

I know there are lots of dress HIBs here so I hope I'm not offending by asking this - it's just that she's working to a v. tight budget.

I'd also be interested in cheap shoes links if anyone has some?

Her colours are red (claret) and gold (ahem - just like my wedding 4 years ago!)

Thanks so much for reading

Hi, we ordered our flowergirl dresses from a company called Millybridal. They are also on Ebay as Cinderella's Bridal Shop. They are costing roughly £55 each and are made for a 4 and 3.5 year old. They haven't arrived yet as Millybridal are also making my dress but these are the pics they sent of the finished articles.

Sorry the pics are sooo large!

Their website is www.millybridal.com. They don't have bridesmaid dresses on their website that I remember but I emailed them a few photos of a dress I wanted made and they had already made one very similar and so it was dead quick.

Millybridal are a bit more expensive than landy but I went with them because they have photos of hte actual dresses they have made on their website whereas a lot of the others just have the originals on there. There have been lots of brides happy with both milly and landy though.

Hi there. Ive just bought a bridesmaid dress from the bay of e, through a company called "YaYa",which were £39.99 plus £15.99 shipping charge. Cant remember the exact sellers name but can look it up if you wish?

It was delivered a few days ago and i'm really really chuffed with it as its just like the UK alternative that i wanted at a third of the price! I'm having 4 BMs in total but wanted to order just the 1 dress to start with so i knew what i was getting but the quality is superb and the delivery took less than a week.

    HTH ?

Thank you too, squish - more bargainacious prices there! Will have a ggod look at YAYA.

I was so shocked looking at some high street bridal prices for BM dresses - everything has gone up LOADS since I got married in 1995 (eg my flower girl dresses were about £65 - a bargain even then, now the same dress is £110!)
