East Midlands photography!

We booked our photographer through a recommendation and his prices are reasonable and he is close to Derby his website is www.davidfinchphotography.co.uk he does commercial as well as weddings, and he seems a jolly nice chap. He will stay with you on the day for as long as you want let you have a dvd, pretty much does what you want for your day.

Hi Lamby. It is worth considering what exactly you want from your photography coverage. There are many options and variables (as you mentioned) that can cause confusion. One of the things to think about is the type of album you will end up with. Many of these actually cost the photographer a huge proportion of their cost to buy in. There are many photographers who will do a good job for less than the price you mention. A less expensive album will bring the price down.

That all said, do ensure that the photographer you meet is the one that will photograph your wedding and that it isn't subcontracted.

Friends of ours in Buxton used a really nice couple called Luna photography www.lunapics.co.uk we are considering them for our wedding, not sure their costings yet, they cover Derbyshire and I know our friends would not have been able to afford over 1k for a photographer, but their results look like they spent 2k!

I have a friend that does wedding photography in the midlands as a second job. If you want to give me your details I can pass them onto her to email/ring you or if you want her email let me know. shes very good, not too sure of her prices though

Our photographer is based in Derby. We found him through a post on here. His background is in Asian weddings & we got him for a discounted rate as he wants to branch out to do european weddings to. We met up with him & he was very enthusiastic and showed us a large selection of his photos & albums. We're going for an edited CD only option & our photos will be on his website too (after our approval). I certainly don't envy you trying to find a photographer. So many choices, so many options. That's why I try and be as simple as possible - just so it's easy for me too! ?
