Easter 2012 brides???

Sorry they were a bit big! So far I have booked/paid for the dress and the venue (although clearly it won't be done out in seminar style when I get involved). I have identifed the people to provide the furniture, the band and the celebrant.

Still to do: order invites, do guest list, arrange caterers/menu, flowers, grooms outfit, flowergirl outfit, rings etc

how hard can it possibly be? :-)

Ooooo Clarabella I'm having Tulips too!! so exciting! We aren't doing too bad with planning.

Things left to sort are, invitations, getting some jars for the tables, my veil and shoes, chocolate to put EVERYWHERE, make some seeded paper for place holders and BM pressies and then by Gorge I think we've cracked it!

Its coming around so quick now and once Christmas has been and gone it will come even quicker EXCITING!!!!

We ordered my wedding ring on Sunday so rings are now sorted.. Just have to do invitations, table plans, table numbers, buy the sweets for our table, presents for bms and ushers and mothers, finalise flowers... oh lord, as I am writing this I am realising just how unprepared I am!!!! EEEK!

Here's a question, possibly a silly question. Do you think it matters if our invitations dont match the wedding stationary that we are going to have on the day (table plans etc) Or am I just being a little bridezilla/OCD?! xx

I'm not sure about the stationary matching - I too am having similar thoughts tbh!

I designed the save the dates and loved them but seem to be a pain to replicate for the invites

Need to find a decent printer but struggling!

Decided - sod it.. and just ordered our invites from VistaPrint!

No one will remember the invites on the day - atleast I hope not!

So thats one major thing ticked off my list! When are you ladies sending out your invites?? xx

OOooh no don't say that! I'm still planning to make them but as I can't even decide on a format I'm not even sure where to start!!! Think we're planning to send them shortly after Christmas, after Christmas post calms down so people are more likely to RSVP quickly (...fingers crossed.....!)

Its worth looking on ebay for ideas... I had the intention of making mine, but in the end saw some on ebay which I really liked. I got a sample sent, and loved them, so ordered 40 for the day do and 40 more for the evening and they cost me £44! I got them yesterday and love them!!!!!! Just booked the photographer tonight, and sending the invites out in the next week i think...I havent sent save the date cards so need to get them sent soon with it being on Easter Sunday! Beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel....i think!!!!! x

I guess it depends what you want to spend on a photographer...The dearest we saw was £3000! Were paying £250 for ours...which is 3.5 hours. We get 2 cds with all the prints on, which arent copyright. My OH has looked on apple i photo...through kodak, and he can create a 12 page album for £20.

I hate having my photo taken, and cant imagine that I will be looking at my pictures everyday, so, TO ME, it seems a waste of money spending any more! x

Who knows! That was the intention, but like everything else, I really arent sure! I am onto my 2nd wedding dress so far...posted a pic on here as I wasnt 100% about it, and someone gave a VERY honest opinion on it, which has completely put me off it, so now desperately searching for a replacement! I wanted Lillies for flowers, but am now not sure on those! Im rubbish at decisions! Have changed the colour theme 3 times! Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How are your plans going? Where are you getting married? x

Hello ladies!! I`m pretty rubbish at remembering to do this but alas I have!

Our wedding day is Easter Sunday too.. so far I have the church booked, venue deposit done, dress bought and hanging up at my mums - it fitted straight away which is fab! Photographer found - need to sort out the deposits this weekend, and also found a videographer. Have found getting a good videographer a bit of a hastle. So many are still really old fashioned.. zooming in and out all the time and wobbly freehand. Alas the second one we found who was available on that date and then when when we booked they were not, has given us the name of his second camera 'woman' and we`ll probably go with them. I must admit this has knocked my confidence a bit but i have got insurance.

Also asked my H2Bs aunty to do the cake - i think we`ll have 4 tier but 1 dummy tier as 4 tiers of cake is not really needed!! 😃, got a hod roast booked for the evening.. nearly forgot about that! and chair cover woman sorted. actually writing it on here it seems far more than I think! I`ve been looking at invites too. We`re going to do a half and half. I`ve sorted all the wording out, we have a friend who is a CAD designer who will design it, i`ll get it printed and i`ve found an AMAZING company on the web that sells the card already folded for pence! So we`ll be doing them! Going out in Jan.

I`ve also bought the most gorgeous side hairband!! Its pretty huge..

Photographers - ours is £500 but we got him for £450 as I searched him on google and found he had an offer if you quoted this website!😋 He actually told us not to bother getting an album as he thought photobox did brilliant ones - he showed us one and he was right! We did our engagement holiday pics for £20!

Lastly to Jules, my date twin! What a load of rubbish to that person who made you doubt. They`re not wearing the dress, you are! They`ll have their turn...but if you weren`t sure anyway...hmmm. My dress is not everyones cup of tea and I know some people will think its 'jazzy' but for some reason I LOVE IT! its absolutely not what I thought i`d have, I wear a unifrom by day and its blokey so i seem to have gone totally opposite. I still look at it and think 'oh my god, really?!' i`m still shocked so everyone else will be. Its not at all what i`d have liked on anyone before! As my mum has said you (I) 'wont be going quietly!' 😃

Jules - great flash! My struggle with the invitations is that I designed our save the dates and I want the invitation to match! Will keep working on it

Also we have paid £450 for our photgrapher! Some can go for crazy money but pick one who has photos in the style you want and if poss has been reccomended to you! Ours is quite a well known photgrapher in our area so we got them as quick as we could! for the £450 we are getting from preperation to cutting the cake ( time wise) all the photos on disk which have been taken by the two photographers so lots of photos

Photographers sure know how to rip people off.. we have a profesh photographer that is a friend of a friend, she does it on the side and is doing ours for £350 from 10am until atleast the first dance.. what a bargain!!!

This is very scary!!! 17 weeks on Saturday!! I think I have most things in hand but I am still I will run out of time! Plus I still want to be 2 stone lighter which is achievable but still worrying me, can't be a barrell bride.

Hope everyones plans are going well! Has everyone booked their hair and make up person yet? When are you having your trials?

God - its just so exciting!

I am pretty much organised as much as I can be, just need to sort flowers and have my bridesmaid dresses altered at the moment. Got all my invites and started packaging them so thats a nice little job for me!

Got my wedding ring at the weekend - wooop! Had to wait until now to get it as we paid for it with tesco clubcard vouchers () and I have lost 4 stone so we had to wait for my weight to stable a bit, OH isnt happy that ive had to have my ER resized twice haha! xx
