Easter Sunday Egg Hunt? hmmmmmm

HappyAnnie, 12 September, 2011 at 16:26 Posted on Planning 0 5

Please be honest - is this a great or naff idea....we are getting married on Easter Sunday next year. The ceremeony at the hotel is at 12:30pm and I've been worried for a while that it's very early on in the day and it's a long time for people to stand around while pics are being taken etc. My SIL mentioned having an Easter egg hunt while the photos are happening - obviously in the same area. Initally I thought this was a great idea as it's reasonably easy/cheap to arrange and a bit of fun given the date. But then I've started to have doubts - we only have 3 children under 9 and a baby at the wedding and while I'm sure a few of my friends will get stuck in is it worth bothering - I'm never confident in doing things like this and worry people will think its silly and only the three children will do it? Be honest folks!️?️

We are getting married Easter Saturday and were planning on doing something like this... Were also getting marriewd early so we thought it would be a nice way to break up the day! I would say to keep the kids entertained but I know it will probably be the adults that get the most fun from it! ?

I would say it depends what you put in the eggs ?.

It can be made as grown up as you like IMO - and i'd personally ask any neices/nephews/cousins you may have to get it going and get it going competitively. Only you know your guests, but I think my lot would have really gone for it!

Yes you're probably right, I can see a few of my friends getting their heels off and elbows out ha ha. It's nice to hear someone else doing it - are you having real little eggs or carboards ones to collect then give a prize to the winner? Just wondering about the logistics of it all.

And this is just me being nosy - are you doing anything else "egg/easter sunday" related? We're having egg cups and creme eggs for favours, choc bunnies and H2B wants to name the tables after chickens (!) ?

We haven't really thought of the logistics of it either just yet! hehe

Were having a sweetie table so were gonna have loads of easter treats on there but because our favours and table names etc are things that are very "us" weve not got much room for anythign else... What a great weekend to get married on hey!! ?

Not long now... I hope it goes quickly, I just can't wait!! xx
