eeeek

slimzoe1, 20 February, 2009 at 21:11 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 11

Just had an email to say my ww manager is coming out sunday, shes a new manager and doing the rounds so i knew it was imminent but eek! in 18 months ive never had a manager visit (despite the fact i should have 2 a year at the very least) now on the 1 hand this is good as it means there must have been no cause for concern, on the other hand im worrying i may be doing it wrong.

sods law though this week im planning to cook, im doing pancakes and working on making them more filling. now im terrified about making them (i cook lots in class, my members like it)

omg

I'm sure you'll 'pass' with flying colours.

Do you actually cook in class? ie prepare the whole dish from start to finish. If so, that's fab. My leader does a lot of meals but brings them preprepared and then tells us how it's made and gives us all a look at the finished dish. But I like the idea of seeing someone do it and how easy it can be, especially for those people who are not so good or lack confidence or experience in cooking from scratch.

Oooh, I've just written out a recipe for cauli vindaloo from a friends recipe book, it sounds yum. If it's easy enough to make in a class, it must be pretty straightforward, think I'll write that in for my menu next week.

Def easy and a really popular recipe, you could add chicken breast to it for an extra 2.5 points and it would be yummy.

Im sure you will be fine.

My leader once cooked in class and it was fab, was something I would not have tried without it, wish we did it more often.

I'm impressed that you cook for your class. I've just started WW recently and I hope that my leader does things like this. I remember a previous leader who used to bring things that she'd cooked to show us (sometimes we got to taste too, depending on what the recipe was). It does inspire others to get cooking too. Pancakes will be great, I'm sure you won't have any probs - just practice flipping a few at home first so that you don't end up with one stuck to the ceiling ?.

Maybe you could get a few of your more confident class members to have a go and join in the cooking too. I think it will be a good opportunity for you to show your manager how well you can inspire your members. I don't think you have anything to worry about, your members are going to enjoy your meeting and go home with some great ideas and that's what your manager will be looking for.

Lol i wont be flipping without a fish slice, i like to get the classes involved, i like lighting the touch paper and standing back. every class this week will be different, so i will ask for ideas of filings and let em go wild lol.

    i love being a leader.

    Good luck!

I know when the managers come here the leaders get fed up as you get all the "you should put your scales wires around here" and "you should set up like this" and then they stand and watch which is so offputting ? However we've never had any complaints so you should be fine!

Zoe, the results your group gets and your passion for what you do PROVE you're doing it right. Just enjoy it, treat it as an excuse to showcase and show-off. Good luck lovely xx

and shes going to try to sort out my room issue so yay!
