H and I are off to the cinema. I am sitting here drying my hair and he comes out of the bathroom unshaved. He had about 3-4 days growth and was all whiskery. (he doesn't shave when not working/going out) I ask why he hasn't shaved, and he states he is thinking of growing a beard (not sure if he was kidding or not) I told him I have pognophobia (fear and loathing of beards.....partially true) and I am not being seen with catweasal, ffs! A bit of stubble can be sexy, but I haaaate mustaches and beards with a passion. Thankfully, he is now getting reaquainted with the razor!

When I was younger, I loved that smooth, fresh faced look and hated anything else, as I'm getting older, I'm finding a bit of stubble, few days growth can be verys exy on the right man.

I also dislike beards on men, but who knows what I may be saying in 10+ years.

Never say never! I didn't like hairy men at all til I met my fiance.

He needs a bit of hair round the edge of his face to show where it is - his jawline isn't particularly strong. He likes experimenting with different styles/combinations of tache, beard and sidies. The only one I don't like is the full beard, bit too David Bellamy!

We went to the World Beard & Moustache Championships a couple of years ago, and he got quite inspired. He's been growing his handlebar moustache since then, and when it's styled it looks pretty cool, and it makes him that little bit different, which is always good.

Bah! Can't get a photo link from Facebook to work.

? Where on earth is that held? I want to go!

H's Mum likes him cleanshaven but if he's not at work he tends to leave it a few days. She has a fit if we go round and he's all beardy.

My husbands work had a moustache growing competition last year. It was hilarious they all used to meet up for very serious medical meetings sporting these comedy facial hair growths ?

For the final judging Mr woo went for a cross between a 'gringo' and 'a member of the village people' ? t'was truely horrific but he did win!!

I was just surprised at how ginger his facial hair was.

It was in Brighton in 2007. It was ace, I highly recommend it. Nick Cave judged one of the moustache categories [swoon]

The next is in 2009, but we sadly won't be going - it's in Alaska! We toyed with going to the European Championships in Stuttgart earlier this year, but never got around to sorting it out.

    Yes, I am serious. Really.

My H is always threatening to grow a beard because he hates shaving. I have told him in no uncertain terms that he is not coming anywhere near me if he does because it would be like sleeping with my FIL - very very wrong!!!!?

I am glad I am not the only one, Clairebecky! I always think kissing a man with a full beard must be like muff diving-sorry, but it's "shaven-haven" all the way as far as I am concerned!?
