Embarrassing random question lol about hair removal!

BrogstarBride, 2 March, 2013 at 21:19 Posted on Planning 0 12

Do any of you wax or remove your moustache?! I am quite dark haired and have a lush moustache so I started waxing it myself with Veet wax strips, the results are amazing font know why I didn't do it ages ago but.... It brings me out in a lovely little red prickly rash for a few days Smiley sad So I'm not sure what's worse my moustache or red little rash?! Anyone have any ideas on how to stop this lol?

Smiley smile x

I use a little bit of talc on the area helps to stop the skin sticking to the strips.

I have an exfoliation session a few days before waxing so that the hairs are out more if that makes sense...

First time in my life I'm trialling electrolysis. I could never wax, because I am a little bit downy and a hairless area would look weird. How gross does that sound?!

Ice pack on your upper lip for a few minutes post waxing should help bring the redness down. Is it ingrown hairs?

No I don't think it's in growing hairs I just think my skin is quite sensitive and waxing is quite harsh on the skin isn't it lol x

You could try aloe vera gel, thats suppsed to be really good. Exfoliating before hand helps too

Can you wax a few days before the wedding so your skin has a chance to recover? Or does it grow back too quickly?

Threading all the way here... have eyebrows done and top lip. eyebrows don't hurt at all. top lip - only bit that hurts (and it's only for a second) is when they get close to your noseholes Smiley smile
