Ended up trying my dress on today

Gillsy, 13 March, 2010 at 20:07 Posted on Planning 0 7

Went to see the alterations lady with my mum and sister today as they were getting their fittings done. I had a little bit to fix on my train - just the way the overlay was sewn onto the satin lining and was expecting that the girl would just hang the dress up and 'fluff' the train out to fix it. She didn't do that - asked me to put the dress on which, of course I had to do as I had no option....lol. Was lovely to have it on again - just thinking though, the next time I'll have it on again is on my wedding day which is less than 4 weeks away!!!!!

That said, I'll need to get my little 23 day count down chocolate calendar thingy out - I'll need to start it this week. Now THATS scary!!!!

Sorry, I'm rambling....lol

Yeah, I got it in my 'box of tricks' last weekend when I was on my hen doo. Its fab isnt' it. Plus I have to point out that on the side it says 'only 15 calories per chocolate'

Love the calender! I could have done with one of them instead of the big slab I bought to keep me company this weekend whilst OH is working all weekend! LOL

I actually feel so sad that my day is gone. I've been here since you and Tinkerbelle started planning and soon all the people I've known for years will be married. Hope you both stick round.

The 4 week mark was so scary but that part really dragged in for me and every week at work seemed like a month.

    xx

thats exactly how I feel right now.

PG - I know, when I joined Hitched you were into your planning and it seems like just yesterday you were saying "I'm married" and posting your pics. I'll def try to stick around but I guess, as with most hitchers, its strange once you get married and are no longer planning a wedding. I'd like to try and help the girls after me as much as I can so I'll probably stick around until the end of the summer at least until I see some of my fellow planners (and girls that have helped me so much) get married. Beyond that I think there will be new hitchers (obviously) and I don't think they'll have a reason to click with me as I won't be planning a wedding any more. Does any of that make sense?? I'm actually sad already 4 weeks from today I'll be married and no longer planning a wedding. God listen to me....lol

Gillsy it does totally change and I'm not on here nearly as much but then I'm just so busy that I don't have the time either. I'm not sad the planning is over but I'm still soooo sad my day has gone. xx
