Entertainment

x\Tigger/x, 7 August, 2014 at 12:49 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering what peoples opinions on evening entertainment are?

I'm getting married at 4pm, followed by a drinks reception and probably sitting down to eat around 6ish. I haven't organised any actual entertainment, we were thinking of just compiling a playlist and letting it play on the venues sound system while everyone had a few drinks etc. It's only a small wedding, around 30/40 guests. Our families don't know each other, and my family is very much divided and my mums side and dads side don't get on too well!

Do you think I need to organise some proper entertainment to stop people getting bored?

Thanks Smiley smile

    Thanks for the reply.

I had considered a singer but my family kind of put me off the idea. They didn't think many people would actually stand around and listen to her, and that they would rather be in the bar!

How about an acoustic guitarist? They could play more chilled music during the drinks reception and liven it up a bit more in the evening x

    Hiya

I was going to do the same as you and just pop some of our fave songs on a play list to play during the drinks reception. We to only have 40 guests and I just don't see the point on forking out on entertainment. We are having a barn dance after the wedding breakfast though

    Barn dance sounds amazing!

A acoustic guitarist could work, I'm just worried that they might get ignored / not noticed ?

Has any one ever been to a smaller wedding? What sort of thing did they do?

I'm getting to the panicky stage now!!!!
