God yes. usually over 5'9, slim, long legs, long neck.

My H looks nothing like any of my exes being that he's about 15-20 years older than most of them ?

I like quite rugged looking, slightly weathered men with greying hair but a good physique. Men under 5'11" don't interest me, neither do men under 40. I realise this probably makes me a little odd.

Well, I thought I liked dark haired men... in fact we were discussing the relative merits of the new (at the time) James Bond and I mentioned that I'd had a physical reaction to seeing Daniel Craig on the big screen. And then I said "and that's odd for me because I don't even really like blonds".

Guess what. Mr S is blond.

However, I do have to say that I remembered recently that at school aged 14 we'd done a course (read... time filler) in Personal Relationships - you know, where you see the childbirth video, get the smoking talk, watch Mike Smith put a condom on his fingers etc.

In one session we were talking about relationships and had to choose and talk about a bloke in a picture we'd chosen from a magazine. I have no idea who the blond grinny guy in the picture was in real life, but we had to say whether they would make a good friend, boyfriend, lifelong partner and why.

I said this bloke would be a great friend and boyfriend because he looked kind and like he was very funny man and we would spend a lot of time laughing together. When the session leader asked me why not lifelong partner I said I thought the laughter might get a bit much!

As I got older I developed a "thing" for stand-up comedians so you can imagine I LOVED attending the Edinburgh Fringe....

I am now married to a kind blond, grinny man who has made me laugh every day for the whole of our life together. So maybe I do have a type......

Yes, most of my crushes have very similar features to my H, and generally there is a theme.
