escitalopram

Has anyone else taken this AD? I'm on my thrid day of taking it and have had horrible anxiety today which has given me a tight feeling in my chest. My doctor has given me some diazepam to take in case it gets unbearable, but I'm determined not to take this if I can avoid it. She says the side effects will not last and to try and hang in there. Anyone else been through the same?

I've taken escitalopram but was already on citalopram (Cipramil). However the two are very similar (same compound, but escitalopram is just one mirror image and citalopram is both) so the side effects are similar. I found it took a while to feel the benefits.

I've also taken diazepam and found it useful so tbh if you're feeling awful I'd take it.
