Is this the best tournament ever? Can't get over the quality of the matches. Last 10 minutes of the Germany v Turkey game has been brilliant, despite the broadcasting problems.

I know! It's been brilliant - and no disappointments at all.

    Really wanted Turkey though.

Its been an amazing tournament, I haven't missed England at all. I really, really wanted Turkey through but I think the horrendous injury problems and the banned players has made it a step too far for them.

    Bloody entertaining to watch.

I enjoyed the 5 live coverage too - wish the BBC would have that as a permanent option.

Yes, they play Russia tomorrow night, I hope they win and then beat Germany in the final, they didn't deserve to win that.

What about Croatia? I have them in a sweepstake.

I thought Germany had lost a game, why are they still in?

Germany lost in the group stages I think* but they still qualified.

Sunset - I want Spain to win too, they should, and then for Liverpool to sign Villa and him and Torres play together and then the mighty Redmen to win the league !

    * I am too tired to think straight today so not 100% sure

I m enjoying it too. i cant help but think too that its so much more relaxed without england in it. no desperate, nail biting reports, no detail about the WAGS, no flags flying from cars, no inevitable "that was a disappointing performance", as the team drags itself by the skin of its teeth past the qualification, only to go out in the quaters or similar, yet, not without the nation convincing itself that the team will win, all the players will be knighted, and there will be a national holiday.

no, england being absent is a wonderful thing.

I haven't missed that England haven't been in it at all, and had actually adopted turkey as my 2nd team as it's our favourite place to holiday.

Was gutted last night that they'd gone out, and have watched lots of matches this tournament and they'd nearly all been good.

On the grapevine Liverpool have Villa and Silva lined up already....

So along with Barry, it`s all looking good.

Those three players alone will come to more than the £50 million transfer kitty that Mr Benitez doesn't have. He's desperately trying to sell players but forcing clubs out of the market with stupidly high prices for bit part players. And then refusing to stump up the asking price on the players he wants to sign.

I doubt Barry will be at Liverpool when the season kicks off. As a Villa fan I can't understand why a player would want to leave a club that is going forwards for a club that is going backwards... Rafa will be gone by Christmas anyway...
