Evening shoes ... What are you having?

Hypnopoison, 27 August, 2012 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hello

I wanted to get a spare pair of shoes for the evening, in case my wedding shoes start to hurt.

I struggle with shoes and especially pumps/dolly shoes as I have quite wide feet. My friend got me some ASDA flat pumps for the evening of her wedding when I was bridesmaid which were very comfy as they were nice and wide, and I was thinking of doing the same, but I was worried that flats would reduce my height too much and I'd end up tripped over my dress.

Is anyone else having a spare set "just in case"? If so what are you having?

Not sure what to do for the best.

My mum bought me some lovely flat satin pumps that match my dressfor the evening, but I've tried them with my dress and I can't walk in them as my dress is too long and heavy and I trip over it - gutted!

Plan B is to wear my engagement party sparkly silver shoes. They are just as high but I'm hoping a change of high heels may give a bit of relief if my others start to hurt:-

Plus they're a bit more glam for the evening and our colours are magenta pink and silver so they still go

I had personalised converse, but forgot to put them on.

I wore some of the ballerina slippers from my 'Dancing Shoes' box instead. I wore my converse the next day though, and the next, and the next...

    I've got these...

Going to wear them in over the next two weeks so I can hopefully do day and night in them...

I had some gold sparkly ballet pumps to change into but I had a tea length dress so didn't need to worry about my dress length.

I recently bought these off Ebay from a China seller. I tried some on in a local garden centre and thought they were far too expensive for jellies. these were only £9.99 plus free postage and they are unbelievably comfortable. There are other sellers but more expensive
