What sympbols do you put round text so you can put it in a cell. I want to use symbols that are normalls used in calculations.

    If you put a ' in front of whatever you want to type, the whole box is treated as text and you should be able to put those symbols in there.

    An alternative, if you want to do this for more than one cell, is to select the cells you want treated as text then right click. Select "Format Cells" and under the tab titled "Number", select category: text .

    Apologies if you know this already and were looking for a different/shortcut way! ?
