I need inspiration to get moving, but dont want anything too intense as i'm still suffering with my back problems. i just want something i can fit in with work and other commitments. I work til 6 during the week and OH plays cricket at weekends so i have our son.

any suggestions would be really helpful.

I'm trying to get in shape for a half marathon in September and a marathon two weeks before we get married. I think I ought to get my head checked out too!

I run three times a week, normally at lunch time as I tend to work from home. I go to a pilates class where we use reformer machines (amazing things!) two or three times a week, normally Monday and Friday mornings but Wednesdays sometimes, work schedule permitting. I had my first kick boxing lesson last night so think I'll be doing that each Wednesday night instead of pilates in the morning.

The main thing is to find some sort of exercise you enjoy and do it regularly. Getting out and doing it is the hardest thing but you'll enjoy it once you're out and feel great for it afterwards. Good luck!

I get married in just over 5 months and to be perfectly honest i havent really started anything yet! (omg!!!). ive started doing a few more sit ups and squats/lunges which i started doing after buying natalie cassidy workout dvd, but im finding it really hard to motivate myself to get off my backside and do it on a regular basis.

The other thing im finding really hard is cutting out the chocolate. I need to find smething that i enjoy so i stick with it and start eating better! (it sounds so easy when you say it!)

    Hi there,

I started my diet in January, and have nearly lost 2 stone - 4lbs away from it!! but it is hard work - you have to really motivate yourself for the first 3-4 weeks, after that once you start seeing a difference in your body - it just becomes a habbit, exercising, and you want to shift more weight.

I have been going to the gym every day - but i am lucky as i have one in work, so i go during my lunch time. But a few of the girls here are doing the Davina work out 3 times a week at home and have seen a change in their body.

A girl here did not do any exercise, she just done SW, and she has lost 2 and a half stone - so that could be another option, maybe if you get weighed every week you will see a change and try to keep it up!!

2 months to go till our wedding, and i want another stone off - here's hoping

    xx

    Thanks for the replies ladies,

i tried SW earlier this year, but because i did it about 5 years ago, i found myself cheating and couldnt get into it the way i did when i first did it. I lost about 3 stone when i did it about 5 years ago, but i've since aquired a son and put it all back on more.

I just want to get up and do it, but my get up and go has got up and gone, IYSWIM

I've started eating healthier at mealtimes, but then i'll snack on a big bar of chocolate whilst sat in front on the tv at night.

The weather doesnt help either, i look outside when its raining and feel like i should go for a walk, but CBA. I used to play football, but due to my back problems, had to stop.

I have just over 6 months to get into shape. ?

I'd snack on chocolate and other things like that so I don't buy them anymore. If you don't have them in the house, you'll get used to not eating them pretty quickly. You'll be surprised at how much money you save too.

    Hello

Sadly my excercise regime went to pot when I became a commuter! (used to be a commited gym bunny but not so much now!)

However in the spirit of not wanting to feel like a slug I have reinvented my plan

    So now

3 times a week I try to get to the gym for 1-11/2 hours I have a new fitness plan from the instructor which involves leight weights for toning and strength and sprint training on the CV machines for fitness

On Tuesday I go to ballet class for 1-2 hours (depnding on what time I get home early home 2 hours late home 1 hour)

at the weekend I go for a jog 3-5 miles depending on how I feel. ( I sometimes jog weekdays if I don't make the gym)

in addition to this I walk as many places as possible (min a mile a day just because of traveling).

I eat fairly healthy but at weekends I have what I feel like (within reason)

and that is my healthy living plan of the moment.
