I`m going to try and have one every 4-6 weeks between now and the wedding in november as I`ve supposedly given up smoking and its a little treat to myself. It shouldnt bring you out in spots, I don`t think.

I give myself one every week - exfoliate and mask, but I will be having a proper one about 4 weeks before, and maybe 2 weeks before too.

They often bring out spots as they are clearing all the gunk out of your skin, so you need to leave at least a week before your wedding to let your skin clear up.

Personally I love Dermalogica facials, but I've had a Decleor one that was amazing too!

    Hiya!
I have been having Dermalogica facials for the past 6 months or so and would really recommend them. To start off with have a face mapping session where they examine your face in a number of seperate areas then advise you on what products to use in each area. Most are usually the same products but if you suffer with spots or dry patches then you may be advised to use say a different mask on different areas.
The products are quite pricey but they are really good and you can often pick them up cheaper on sites such as Beautyflash or some auction site.

I have been advised by my salon not to have a facial with less than 4 weeks to go to the wedding as they do cause spots to come out etc, better to not take the risk I would have thought!

Yeah basically the facial brings all the dirt and dead skin cells out of your skin, often causing a few spot to erupt. Also they squeez out any blackheads that you have etc to clarify the skin, you can request that they don't if you would prefer.
I love their products like I say pricey but I think they are worth it x

I get stuff from lush - its lush!! And generally the staff are knowledgeable enough to advise you on which to buy.

I wouldn't use the garlic one the day before the wedding though!!

I forget which face mark I use but I LOVE ultra bland for a daily one!

I've been having facials every four weeks since we got engaged and will continue to do so up to the wedding (and after if I can get away with it! ?) My skin, which wasn't bad to start with, is even better now. When I had the first one they warned me I might come out in spots, but I didn't.

I had a facial as part of my hen weekend (about 4 weeks b4 the wedding. so lovely and relaxing. didn't bring me out with spots so i must've been lucky.

as a fellow dry skin sufferer though i can recommend giving your face a good slather of night cream before you go to bed each night. any brand really. then it's got a good long time to soak in without any worry about your skin looking shiny/ greasy.
