I do love my sunbed, not only does it give me a fantastic tan it also gives me that "happy" feeling... I'm sure I have S.A.D in the winter months and it really helps lift the mood.

Def St Tropez. When it does wear off it wears off really gradually rather than in patches like some fake tans.

I think it is def down to the beautician too though. I've heard some horror stories with St Tropez with streaky legs etc but I think that is down to the beautician not knowing how to apply it correctly. I've found a fab one and have never ever had a streak or dodgy patch so make sure that you try out the person beforehand and ensure you get them on the day too if it is a large salon.

I must admit I am quite addicted to it! I do moisturise every time I go on it which (I tell myself) helps my skin stay nice... however I am aware of the dangers involved and have looked at St Tropez but I would need to have it done every week and surely thats quite costly?

If you are going for a spraytan and want a natural look then I would recommend St Tropez, it gives you a good colour without looking orange. I plan on getting mine 2 days before the wedding rather than the night before because it gives it time to settle and the fake tan smell will be gone by the time you get married!

I would avoid Fake Bake for a spray tan because it can look really orange. Definately go for a spray tan rather than trying it yourself its well worth the money! ?

You could use their Everyday lotion/cream in between which is like a top up. I haven't used it myself but my friend says its great.

No, dont worry, I appreciate opinions from everyone. It is a sensitive subject for people and I suppose I shouldnt use it but then there is the feel good factor which I enjoy... but then again I smoke too which doesnt help but thats the only 2 vices I have! Possibly the worst ones I could have though!

HI i have been wondering about fake tan 2, would it not rub off on to my wedding dress through the day getting married in July so fingers crossed will be warm he he ! My mum has given me 'permission' to use the sun beds (i am 24 and not allowed to go on them or use a chip pan i don't even live at home !!) any way am pale so when i do go on they only let me on for the minimum time like a minute or something so not worth it and would like a bit of colour for the big day.

I wish the honeymoon came first then the wedding that way we wouldn't have to worry about it !

Believe it or not the best one I have found that smells nice, doesn't streak, looks natural & stays for days is ASDA own brand Mousse, I swear by it.

WSS. If its a decent tanner then no it won't rub off, assuming you have properly washed off the colour guide in the morning. ST def doesn't rub off on clothes.

Trickers - do you think we should as ST for some commission!

Sun beds are no more dangerous than the sun in terms of skin cancer. But the added danger is becasue people tend not to use sun cream with sun beds, and because people do become addicted.

I intend to use old-fashioned sunshine, topped up with a sunbed and tan-saver moisturiser for my October wedding. But I can't go too dark because my OH is ginger and very pale - it would just look silly.

They should give you instructions as to how to "look after" your tan (eg pat dry, don't rub with towel when you have a shower, moisturise etc).

If you have your tan done in the evening its best to sleep with it on and then wash it off in the shower the next morning. The colour guide is a sort of red colour so you wash that off gently (I don't use showergel either). The colour will come off on your duvet etc but washes out.

Any chance you could go for a spray tan... Im a fake bake spray tan operator and you really won't get as good a result using a home solution as you will getting a spray tan from a salon. Obviously im going to suggest Fake Bake... however it really is the most natural looking tan as it will only make you as dark as you would naturally go in the sun. And it can last upto 7 days when looked after correctly
