False eyelashes

ce4mpMwp, 18 February, 2012 at 14:39 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hi all,

I'm just looking for some advice, and maybe a little rant. I had a trial with false eyelashes yesterday (Noveau) and they are already falling out! I haven't put mascara on or anything but with one night sleeping they are already coming out. Has anyone else had experience of this? I'm concerned as i'm booked back to have them on 2 days before the wedding, but if they fall out on day one what will they be like on day 2?

Has anyone else used semi-permanent lashes? Which brand did you use?

I'm based in Sheffield if anyone has any recommendations.

    Hi hun,

there was a thread like this the other day and i suppose it boils down to each salon and brand individually. I had a trial in December of weekend ones and they lasted a good few days before starting to fall out. I am not too sure what brand mine where but they were the individual ones and the glue was really strong. I not too sure how long it is until your wedding but i would say maybe try another salon before and see how that goes. HTH x

I've had the 2 week type, and also the semi-permanent ones that lasted a month or more. No idea what brand though.

Are you saying they are all falling out, or just a few? Its normal the first few days to have a few come out on your pillow in the morning, but no more than a few. I'd go back to the salon if they are looking sparse already.

I loved the look, but found after a week or so, they started to look odd. Still stuck on, but not sitting like a normal lash, but instead facing odd directions! Even after trying to use a lash curler, they didnt hold. I too didnt use mascara. I did like the look & had refills after a month which corrected it again.

A word of warning, 2mths on since initially having the semi ones, I am left with thin, short natural lashes, & still a few fakes ones that I cant get off. I've had to cut the fakes shorter as they just look so odd against my natural lashes. I am told my natural ones will grow back in time, but they really look dreadful.

When I had the 2 week temp ones , I never had any problems afterwards. I will be getting those in the future, NEVER the semi ones again.

I had the 2 week ones as a trial and also for my firiends wedding (I was CBM) but I found me and them just don't get on. I don't think ti was the lashes as the bride has the same ones applied byt eh same person, but I got 4 or 5 days of fine wear and then they would all fall off at once!

I want false ones for the wedding, but I'm thinking of going old school with the strip lashes, some of them are really good now, my friend wears them all the time and they look as good as when she had the individual lashes, but means she can wear her usual bright and glittery eye makeup without worrying about remover affecting the lash glue 9realised by that descreiption she may sound like a drag queen, but she's not, honest!!)
