Don't have a 'full length' picture (partly as it doesn't exist of the complete outfit yet) anywhere so you'll have to do with the picture used on all our wedding stationary I'm afraid.
I'll be wearing a green tie instead to match the bridesmaids. Also a green waistcoat, which arrived at my b2b's house this morning so I haven't seen it yet. Trying to find an ivory/cream shirt to wear with it but can't seem to locate one in my size yet.
Jutt a bog standard suit, nothing to get excited about.
It depends how much money is left at the end of our planning, as I can get a suit a week before if necessary. It's not such a big thing for us guys as we usually have a perfectly adequate suit around whereas not many ladies have wedding dresses hanging in their cupboards.
A flashy, expensive suit won't make any difference to the way I look or feel on the day, neither will it change anything about our day; the important thing to me is the getting married, not looking flashy, as after all without makeup and/or surgery there's only so much you can do with me.
What are your buttonholes/bridal flowers? Also, I'm sure you're going to pick well but a shirt that is too creamy runs the risk of looking like a 1970s Uncle Malcolm... (apologies to those who have a 1970s Uncle Malcolm).
My husband picked out the colour and general theme of all of our flowers!
AJ, have you thought about getting a shirt made? It's not too expensive but you'll have something that will make you feel good. Don't underestimate the power that a well cut piece of clothing can do for your self esteem, regardless of the occasion. Bespoke Tailor might be able to help or point you in the right direction.
Thought about it but our problem is basically lack of cash, we've still got to scrape about £600 together in 3 months to cover everything already booked, so we'll see what happens. Might give BT a call as you suggest just in case, he's not too far away.
It is cheaper to buy a load of fresh veggies and make up some tasty and healthy sauces that you can have with pasta. Saves money, saves your body, win win, surely?
I do all the cooking when I'm at home, and a large portion of it when we're together, wherever we may be. I enjoy cooking and love being creative, but feel often that it's a bit wasted when it's just me on my own. I usually make a load of it then freeze portions and eat over the coming weeks, so usually at least 2 weeks out of 5 I don't have to buy anything apart from bread, milk, juice and stuff for lunches.
Made something at the weekend with mince, onion, mushroom, a carton of passata, 2 stock cubes, tomato puree and some tagliatelle. Bolognaise-ish. Very nice it was too.
Yup im in that camp. my OH had cheese and beans on toast last night and i was just staring at it unknowingly. After my paltry spinach brocolli and fish i was hank marvin.
