Hello! I know, it's scary how quick it came around. It's a massive cliche to say 'it'll be here before you know it' but it's totally true.

Apart from having dress wobbles (DCM knows this!) I'm doing ok. I'm so greatful I got lots of crafty stuff out the way early, a few bits and pieces to finish up but I'm trying to remain calm! I'm a control freak and wouldn't accept any help, but then asked my SIL to sew my bunting (I'd cut out all the flags). Literally just a straight line stitch long it. But she's had it for months and not done it. Now I'm going to have to go and pick it up from her and try and sort it myself (I can't sew!). It all needs to be ironed and starched, If it had been up to me that would have been done months ago! Oh and two kids are now coming to my child free wedding so that's going to cause arguments on the day (I will be directing them to MIL). Only a few small things, but I'm ok! At the moment I'm mostly this:

I didn't realise how long I've been away/lurking. So exciting, but stressful, try and enjoy the build up otherwise it will pass you buy. The day will be just perfect for sure and don't worry about the crooked stitching no-one will notice ?

can't wait to see the flash/photo's

Thanks A, I know it will all be fine. Some things I just don't care about, when I should, but things like that I'm getting worked up over! I hold a grudge really badly, I'll be moaning at her for not doing it in 20 years time! I'm hoping she pulls it out of the bag and gets it done though!

Hoddy, when is your wedding? I didn't realise we were so close, date wise!

I've not got any other flashes than what you've seen before, unless there are any specific requests!

I'd love to be able to sew, but sadly the most I can do is hem my trousers with iron on web!!!

I've got an old machine (good intentions!) and if it comes to it I'll manage but I was trying to delegate to someone who is a whizz with sewing, hence removing the stress from me!

There's a round up of flashes! Most of them I'd done before, the invitations changed from the original protype and I've done some bits like place names.

I'm still not sure it doesn't look like someone's granny threw up a jumble sale.....

    Thanks everyone!

Sorry this is going to turn into a long rant: I Had a low point last night - my mum phoned and said that she'd been discussing it with my aunt and they both thought that I should change out of my dress, into the maxi dress I wore at my hen party. Erm, no. Yes I had been havig wobbles over my dress, but since my mum has been suggesting I change, I'm determined to keep my dress on since I don't have time to buy a second proper wedding dress. THEN she chips in that my aunt said my cousin has asked if she can change out of her BM dress so 'she can party'. It's a maxi dress, less volume than the one they are trying to get me to change into!! Some how they think it's not fair that she won't be able to dance?!

I said she can change if she wants but I'd rather she didn't as I didn't see the need. I've never once not been able to dance in a BM dress. So that lead to my mum screaming that she wished she'd never mentioned it etc. etc. If the BM has a problem, she can tell me, not go through three people? My other BM is nice, and rational and wants to keep her dress on. My mum thinks I'm totally unreasonable for wanting to stay in my wedding dress for the duration of my wedding and screamed down the phone at me, ending "well don't moan to me if you can't dance in it". Since when is it going to be her problem? I've spoken to my friends and not one of them regrets dancing in their wedding dress and wished they'd changed.

I've just read Erin's report and wish we'd eloped like MF wanted all along!

Hmm......yes, TOTALLY unrealistic for ANY bride to want to stay in her amazing, beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime wedding dress for the duration of her wedding celebrations.

What on EARTH are you thinking.....?

Oh ATB that's awful tell them to do one! its a one day only celebration and I didn't want to take mine off at bedtime lol. You want to show off all day and for the guests in the evening. The BM is being unreasonable too, how can you not "dance" in a maxi dress?

i didn't regret NOT changing either

Thanks, I'm feeling really ganged up on so nice to have folk on my side! I'm being made feel like I'm unreasonable bridezilla (this couldn't be further from the truth) when in reality, I've got damn good arguments for my opinons. Nows she's said I've not to mention it again, so it' will just simmer as an un said argument. Great.

Surely if your BM feels that way she could just ask you herself instead of getting someone else to stress you out instead?

Don't let anyone or anything put you down right now ATB. The time is going so fast you need to enjoy every second.

I'm sorry they're causing you stress ATB, it's not what you need right now!

You are not an unreasonable bridezilla whatsoever and as Hoddy says if your BM has an issue she's surely grown up enough to talk to you about it?

You are not being a bridezilla! I don't understand why your Mum is so fixated on you changing? I admit l was hot on my wedding party night, more due to the weather on the evening being so hot rather than the dress. I would have been hot in anything l had worn. I didn't moan and it didn't spoil my night in anyway. My Mum likes to play the "not mention it again card". That way we can't discuss it like adults and she can be all resentful!

Also not sure why you Auntie is saying it is ok for the bridesmaid to get changed. What has it go to do with her?! When l was a bridesmaid for my best friend l wouldn't have dream of getting changed in the evening. It was a maxi dress as well, myself and the other bridesmaid had no problems dancing.

I don't understand why people have to always force their opinions on other people especially when they don't affect them directly.

My Aunt is the bridesmaid's mum (my cousin) hence why this has gone through her. If she just said to me herself I would have just said the same, change if you want but I think on the night you won't want to and you'll be able to dance fine. But she's not, it's gone through two other people.

Might be worth you having another dress just in case you DO get hot/can't dance/spill red wine.....just so that in the event, your mum can't say "I told you you should have....."!

But other than that, wear what you want.

    so ner...
