Just wanted to say that I hope the ex moving out goes well today and it doesn't cause you any more stress.

Also good luck for tomorrow.

Aww - thank you so much. I just popped on to do an update!

I put him on the megabus at 10.10 this morning, then headed into work for my last day in this job! Safe to say today is a bit weird - but I'm feeling positive albeit exhausted.

Last night was hideous - he decided we should play the "happy families isn't it sad things are over let's reminisce" game. Difficult doesn't begin to describe it. Still. It's done now and he has gone. I have his set of keys, and stayed to see him get on the bus, and it drive away with him on it so I know he's definitely gone. He thought I was being sweet - I was actually being certain.

Going home tonight will be strange - I have a mountain of housework planned! I need to completely deep clean my flat, and start rearranging things so it feels like mine again. But I'm going to go via town & get myself something scrummy to cook tonight, then an early night, and tomorrow start my new job!

Right - I've got to finish writing handover notes for my current job before my meeting this afternoon.

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Otters are all utterly fabulous and I love you all. I couldn't have done this all without you. Group hug. xxx

Sorry my lovelies - been too busy having a life this week to sit online!!!

No - seriously. This week has been nuts. New job is bloody awesome - I realised how bored I was in the last one!! Lots to do but I enjoy a challenge anyway.

I decided that sorting the flat wasn't something to do overnight so I've given myself to the end of the weekend. I'm loving it. It's not there yet but I'm chipping away at it. It feels so much calmer though - it's lovely.

The ex decided to get all vicious for a bit - I kind of predicted he would either get angry at me or disappear into a pit of self-flagellation & despair. He went the angry route - can't say I'm surprised - its a way of deflecting accepting any responsibility for things not working. After a barrage of increasingly abusive texts, I sent him one back basically saying I don't need this any more, I don't want your "toxic negative energy" in my life, hope you find a way to be happy but leave me the hell out of it. I haven't heard anything more from him since.

Anyway - I'm about to post another thread cos far more exciting than that is I got my hair done yesterday!
