I can find the actual thread but only by going through your post histories. The OPs comments have all been deleted.

I certainly won't be apologising I stand by what i've said, if this was the fist comment by Sange that was out of order then I wouldn't have said anything.

    Oh hello!

But it's not a real poster Mai? It's a spammer? I've never seen a post that attacks a real new member before but the spammers are so obvious? Perhaps when you have been around a bit longer you will have the knack for spotting them too!

are you going to stick around on ot? Be nice to have some brides over here too.

The number of 'tags' gave it away as a spammer straight away. They do this to help with SEO - so that people searching those terms come across the spammer's post and therefore the spammer's spam.

I'd seen a lot of posts by Sange that i though were out of order but in this case she was right although she could easily not have been. Sometimes i do see bullying tatics on here and it annoys me, so thought it was going to be another case of that. It's a spammer so fair enough but to then go on and demand an apolgy while trying to bilittle and ridicule people for being newbies is not on (that's how her last post came across to me anyway).

She hasn't demanded an apology. I posted that.

sange was right and she knew she was hence why she posted what she did. Like I day it comes from experience.

The reason this post is here is not to ridicule - but purely to inform that a certain thread was deleted - they wouldn't have known otherwise.

You are, of course, completely entitled to your opinion but I would ask if you could think long and hard before throwing the 'bully' word around. It's a serious accusation and not one that should be levelled at someone whose posting style is purely honesty (with a bit of blunt thrown in Smiley winking)

I'll wager that it can't possibly annoy you as much it utterly enrages me to see such serious accusations tossed around willy-nilly. Have you ever been unfairly called a "bully"? Do you know how that feels? It doesn't make me sad, it makes me feel sick.

And that's apart from the irony involved when group of people all call one other person a "bully".

    Edit: cross-posted with Kharv.

Anyway, welcome (although not your first post on OT, IIRC). Tell us about your periods. And whether you prefer lime or cucumber in your gin.

It cannot possible annoy you as much as having someone who's only been here 5 mins jump on you when you're doing them a favour. Cheers for that. Were you brought up to be so ungratful to those who help you, or did you hone the art in your adulthood? I'd be fascinated to know.

Thanks for the support from those who do actually know me. ?

I haven't been on here 5 minutes at all, I've been on here about 3 years but as a different username before. I see bullying often on here and i don't use the word lightly. The word wouldn't be brought up so often if there was no evidence of it. I'm not going to continue as I know you'll all stick up for each other anyway. I could say more but feel it will fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea about the OP that has caused this thread I am here because I am nosy

What on earth do you mean by bullying tactics? Using these forums isn't a game. (is it?!) Utterly confused.

I used hitched for mostly for (preferably honest) advice, laughs and support.

I don't come on here still after getting married to use 'bullying tactics' to score points or win at some imaginary game between regulars and newer posters, other wise how does a new poster become a regular?

I see a lot of long time posters on here calling out trolls and spammers. I see sarcasm batted around sometimes, I see people offering advice (sometimes unwelcome, but always sought after), and I see a lot of people decide to toss around the word 'bully' when someone disagrees with them and tries to voice an unwelcome opinion. I don't think I've EVER seen anyone, least of all any otters, actually post with the intent of harming someone.

I'm curious, though, what was your username before? Did you change it because you felt you were being bullied?

I'm referring more to Sange last post on that thread but i don't think anyone can see it anymore. No I wasn't bullyed I forgot my password and had trouble signing in, didn't post much before so started a new account. I have seen bullying behaviour on here in the past I'm not saying this incident applies. i could probably find examples if i wasn't on the slow works computer and trying to get some work done! i'm not saying everyone here is a bully.

To be honest I'm quite thankful to the OMs for spotting them. I've only been on here a few months and I'm completely new to forums so therefore slightly 'green' and more likely to be taken in. I wasn't even aware if the whole 'tagging' thing. I find people on the forum in general tend to be quite honest and perhaps that can come across as blunt at times but I rather like that.

Welcome back Storky (though I'm not sure I was around from before as I haven't been on OT long).

Had to post on this as I've got to say the thread really wound me up (and not surprised to see the spammer got rid of it) only just seen this and the fact he deleted it now. I'm still newish but I'm getting wound up by the obvious (and less obvious) spammers and I think it's good when OMs pick up on it and tell them where to go. It helps others IMO because it means we don't waste our time responding to timewasters. So thanks for doing it.
