Far too bloody organised - still over a year to go

Childhood-Sweet<3, 5 June, 2013 at 10:18 Posted on Planning 0 4

I have ticked ANOTHER thing off my list last night and booked the hair and make-up lady. She is a friend, and the photographers wife, so think it will be really good fun having her around.

We are going to have a little gander at wedding rings this weekend as we will be in town anyway.

At this rate we will only have things to make for the next year!!

I've had most things booked over a year too.

I'm glad I did because as said previous summer wedding get booked up super duper quickly so if you want something just book it.

The downside is by the time 8 months pass you'll want to rebook things like centre pieces! (take that from experience ha)

Theres always little things that spring to your mind. I bought my wedding ring before Christmas it was on sale and my mum planned on giving us vouchers so we decided to just get it even though I hadn't planned on starting looking until this year!

I always find myself on confetti.co.uk, thelastdetail.co.uk and weddingmall.co.uk looking at the accessories etc, the smaller bits you dont think about. I did my wedding in stints, i booked everything then confirmed details bit by bit. I gave our venue the exact seating plan, menu options and final numbers 2 months ago! Safe to say she thinks i'm a brizezilla ?

I've got 18 months to go and am well on the way with planning, but I plan all day for a living, so not really surprising.

I've purposely put some things to one side to do later, and I know i'll find plenty to occupy me...

its horses for courses, some of us plan and enjoy the planning, some are more relaxed and will still get everything done, so I don't think its right or wrong, just whatever you enjoy the best

I'm too organised too...I have 1 year and 9ish months to go (24th April 2015!!) and already booked the venue (not for the ceremony), photographer, cars and hair and make up.

I found that everyone was getting booked up so quickly even for that far away!

Although I'm planning on getting married in a local church and we cant booked that until 1 year to the date before the wedding....slightly worrying but I'll be on the phone to them 9am the morning on 24th April 2014!

I'm looking at cakes and invitations (making my own so trying a few ideas out)

Organised is the best way I think....means I can look for a dress and enjoy the preparations without feeling pressured!

    Good luck to everyone!
