Fascinators for BM's

MrsMac2be, 1 November, 2010 at 19:57 Posted on Planning 0 11

I'm thinking of having fascinators for my BM's, my Mum has decided she wants one but in soft grey and lilac colours, last time her mind was made up about wearing a soft grey suit with a lilac/mauve top to blend in with my colour theme unless she changes her mind again... lol.

My theme colours are white and purple with lots of crystal/diamante sparkly bits. I know Mum won't go for the sparkle though but she is looking for a headband rather than a comb as her hair is very fine and the comb wouldnt stay in but my BM's I'm thinking of having their hair something like the sides twisted back with the fascinator in the back of that bit (not sure about pics though as I cant find any) but I kinda know what sort of hair style I would like for them, they all have long hair.

I would like their fascinators to be in the theme colours with a bit of sparkle though but not as much as mine..

I have flashed the tiara that I love from Starstruck, with that hint of purple/ameythst in...

When you say fascinators, are you meaning that you want feathers or just the headband with a feature on the side look?

If it's feathers you are after Katie Vale might be your girl.

If its incorporating crystals and the Amethyst colour then there are lots of options. I have "Lauren" (below) on my website which could incorporate Amethyst crystals with the diamante. (This was designed for a BM). Another option, although not really a fascinator, could be the Clematis crystal band. http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/tiaras_bands.html

If its crystals you are after then I'd be happy to design something for you.

    Hi,

I could design something bespoke using the appropriate colours, maybe similar to what I've used below and the ivory can be replaced with light grey/silver shades.

Would you mum even like a subtle design like this

    or something bigger

I'm not sure what you mean design wise for your bm's so I could be totally wrong in these ideas:

Any questions just give me a shout. x

Why don't you ask Starstruck to make you something??! She can turn her hand to anything and I'm sure she'd be up for helping seeing its her tiara you've posted as a fav!!! I'll ask her to bob over : )))

Not with feathers and fabric I'm afraid - just pearls, crystals and diamantes from me!

    Thanks Lisa!

Hi - I'd definitely be able to make something similar to what you have shown & would be able to design individual items to suit your needs, as well as something for your mum too.

Feel free to view my website: www.katievaledesigns.com & you can email me for more information at ****@****************.***

    Thanks

    Katie

I'm going to book me, my mum, his mum and my 4 BMs onto a half day workshop where we can make our own fascinators to wear on the day, the place I've found in Leeds is only £20 - £30 each and we get refreshments etc. Thought it'd be a nice way for the girls to spend some time together and this way they're more likely to want to wear it again as they'll have free reign over what they make
