So I'm off to a wedding on the 21st December and it's church first then reception at a restaurant. I've got this dress to wear (I know black at a wedding ?)

So what can I wear over the top so I don't freeze? Most coats aren't long enough to look right so I was thinking about a faux fur jacket, would that look ok do you think?

If so, has anyone seen any good ones on their travels?!

What about a black or red smart cardi? Or a wrap maybe? A faux fur jacket would go alright with it i'd imagine but I haven't seen any to recommend Smiley smile

Could you get a red cropped cardigan? Think you need something which stops under the bust, because of the style of the dress.

I thought of a cardi but I can't imagine it would keep me warm enough.

What about a vest and gritted teeth? I wouldn't want to put a aything over it.

Thermals! I wouldn't worry as hopefully once at the reception venue it should be warm. The church may be chilly if it's an old style one though.

Dorothy Perkins had some faux fur shrug type things the other day I am sure?

Honestly, I would. Tights and a vest and gritted teeth. A few wines and you won't care!

Before I decided to prune my finances I saw a fluffy black shrug on Dorothy Ps site that might do the trick?

Sorry, I meant to come back to say thanks for your suggestions. I've looked at more fur coats but they are all about £35 and I'm not sure I would get much wear out of it.

PB not sure I'm keen on that shrug, I might go for Sange's idea of gritting my teeth and not wearing anything over the top. Please keep your fingers crossed for unseasonably warm weather in Northamptonshire on 21st Dec!
