Father of the Bride Gift?!?!?! Help!!!!

Amylouise1610, 26 April, 2011 at 17:26 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi I am new to hitched but thought i would use my first post to ask a very important question!

I need help with an idea for a gift my mum and dad, but especially for my dad cause of how much money they've contributed towards the wedding. I want it to be something really special and meaningful- but not cufflinks, he has god knows how many already. I don't whether to get them separate presents or a joint one so then i can spend a bit more

If anyone has any good idea let me know

I don't know how much time you have on your hands but I did read about someone who put together a picture book for their parents. You know the sort of thing... the family leading up to your big day! If your parents aren't in tears up to the presents, they would be after a gift like that.

I struggled for a gift to my dad and didn't want to buy him something that would just sit in a cupboard somewhere. I've bought him a personalised bottle of champagne. Hopefully, we will open it one day and share it together and reminisce on our fantastic day.
